CV Question

So here I am practicing CV blackjack. It is set as follows:

H17
DDAS
6D

Dealer had a 3, I had a 12. I took a hit (got a 4). The software told me the correct move was to stand. What am I missing? True count is 2.
Basic Strategy says to Hit. My guess is that the deviation at a true count of 2 means that I should stand. Can someone verify and explain?

It all depends if your chart floors, rounds or truncates. In reality, a difference of 1 in index plays is fairly insignificant. My index number comes from Wong's Professional BJ.

Plus two < +2 >

Wong published different matrices of indices for Hi-Lo.

His 1994 edition of Professional Blackjack lists +2 for the 4 deck game.

So does Blackjack Attack, 4th ed. The eventual arbiter of all things Hi-Lo.

I suspect that the real index is about +1.8; but we all round indicves as a practical matter.

If the index is S=> +2 and the TC was +2 when you played this hand, why did you hit?
Don't get confused by cvbj or cvdata's format. CVBJ or CVData may say H< +2 but the standard format seen in most books is S=>+2 which is telling you the same way to play the hand.
