DD with Good Penetration?

#1
Hi everyone. First time posting here, but I've been reading for a little while.

I'll be in Vegas this weekend. Does anyone know of any DD games with good penetration? Last time I was there, about two weeks ago, I found a great game in MGM, but the minimum was a bit high for my bankroll ($100, vs. my $6k ish bankroll). I also found a good game in Treasure Island but they started shuffling every time I raised my bet after only 15 minutes (and $600 in, mostly lucky, profits) of play.

Ideally, I'd like to find a DD with at least 75% pen., reasonable rules (3:2 blackjack mandatory, DAS would be awesome), and $25 minimum bet. A $50 or $100 table might even work, because usually I can convince a pit boss to let me bet lower. A single deck with good penetration and 3:2 BJ would also be perfect, but I've lost hope of finding that. Strip is preferred, but I don't mind traveling off the strip (I'll have my car).

So anyways, I'd really appreciate any advice.

PS: If Vegas doesn't have these types of games, does anyone know where else I could go?

And, $6k is not nearly enough for counting $50 double deck games. MAYBE back-counting them, but not spreading. Your max bet probably shouldn't go above $75, even if you're willing to accept a lot of risk.

What about a $25-150 spread? I'm willing to accept a fairly reasonable amount of risk.

6K sounds like a pretty reasonable "trip bankroll" for this spread. How long are you planning your trip for and how much do you plan on playing?

Although I havn't played in Vegas(I admit, I'm won't be 21 for a couple more monthes), from what I've read this sort of play should at least get you a couple buffet comps, so don't hesitate to ask. Just bet a couple extra units when you first buy in and when the boss is hawking your table, this should help your comp ratings and help camoflauge your spread.

Well basically what happened was that I graduated college a year ago, couldn't find a job (still can't, screw this economy), and so a couple months ago I took about $500 and started trying to build up a bankroll large enough to count with. I started on $5-$30 spreads and, with a lot of luck, built up to about $4000, mostly in Laughlin. I've moved on to a $25-150 spread in Vegas since then. Ideally, I want to get my bankroll to a point where I can spread $50-300 safely. For now, I know I'm putting everything at risk every time, but I don't really have any other options.

I plan to put in between 12 and 16 hours a day for 3-4 days. I go, on average, every other week.

As far as comps go, I have hosts at several casinos (Harrah's and MGM properties) that will give me free rooms whenever, and pit bosses that will give me free anything (buffets, shows, whatever) so that's all taken care of. I did this by putting in 12-16 hours a day on the same table while convincing the pit bosses to overrate my play a bit (kind of risky, I know, but I wanted to build comps up enough to make my trips free, and at that point I was sitting at a low $25 minimum so I didn't really attract any attention).

Anyways, now that I've got my comps built up, and my bankroll to at least a reasonable size, I'm just trying to find the best games in Vegas so I can focus on growing my bankroll to a point where it is safe to bet the spreads I'm betting.

I don't have numbers on it, but that's probably above full kelly, which is the most you should ever bet. It would be way beyond overly aggressive.

Is there a good way for me to find exact percentages?

If your bank is not replenishable then I've got to agree with Moo on this one. A $25 unit is very risky. You will find excellent simulation software on Qfit.com, CVCX should do you well.

It's very dependent on the rules, pen, etc. Blackjack attack has good info. Off the top of my head, I wouldn't use less than 100 max bets. So, you could maybe spread 10-60 in double deck, or 5-60.
