Has anyone taken any classes from the Die Coach in Vegas? If so which class? Or maybe taken a class from somewhere else? Are any of these worth it? Craps is fun

I guess it's starting to show that I'm getting bored not working :cool2:

After considerable due deliberation I have concluded that controlled CRAPS play is NOT a myth; however it requires not inconsiderable practice by individuals blessed with excellent eye-hand coordination. Needless to say, the requisite personality attributes characteristic of successful Professional Gamesters are, as always, important issues as well.

Emotional Stability, concentration, and dedication to the craft will always be primary.

here's an idea

maybe chef lets us know when he's heading to AC and we can play the table he's on :whip:

he can be the craps workhorse and i'll convice the table to pass their turn to throw the dice so chef is the only one rolling

I'm pretty low-key ;) My skill has allowed me to grind out consistent winnings without having to depend on big rolls (i.e. singles vs. home runs), but I've stood at some tables solo or just with another person or two at 6:00 AM banging out winnings...that's how to do it, skip the other folks.

good luck :joker:

ChefJJ, just out of curiosity have you kept records of all your wins/losses and number of hours played? Over how many hours are you winning? Also, have you encountered heat form the pit for doing this?

If you end up taking the classes make sure to come back and tell us how it went and how worthwhile it was. I'm looking into Dice Control myself and have wondered the same thing about the lessons.

Definitely. ~265 hours. Very little heat...I'm winning not from huge hands and giant wagers, but from targeted betting and just enough of a change in probabilities.

good luck :joker:

cpage - When will you be in Vegas in October?

Chef, any estimate of how many throws you make in an hour? Are those hours spent playing or does each hour only count time when you are throwing? How many hours did it take you to learn this?

I hope you don't mind all my questions. I find this interesting.

I used to play with "Road Dog" one of Scoblettes instructors. I played a great deal of Craps and caught much heat for my throwing. I used an approach that worked very well to the point I was banned from throwing at a few casinos. I also developed a way to "Cheat", so to speak ,the game and it worked very well giving me a for sure edge over the house.

The game got to be too much pressure for me and I went back to BJ exclusively, except for mild forays to the "Dark Side" just to piss off other players, and boy, could I piss them off.

But best to you on the Dice control, I know I did it and it worked, as I did it.;)

Love to see you play sometime.

Hey Creeping Panther and ChefJJ

Can you learn everything you need to know from the book The Golden Touch Dice Control Revolution by Frank Scoblete and Dominator?

I'll say I doubt it.

Not because of who the authors are necessarily, but because what you need to know to gain an edge in craps comes with determining your skill, tendencies, strengths, and the like from a physical aspect. Then you need to figure out how to make money from that.

But the book could be a good intro to the topic.

good luck :joker:

I just finished reading the Mad Professor's Crapshooting Bible and I'd recommend it for anyone wanting to learn about DI.

I'm a big fan of the ol' MP...I need to go pick that up. Does he have some good "day in the life of" material in there?

good luck :joker:

He has 320 pages of everything you could imagine about DI like the grips, to the throws, casino conditions and heat, bankroll management, etc.
