Disguising casino names when posting

I was on another forum, and noticed that everyone disguised the names of sensitive information. I was thinking we should start disguising store names, i.e.

Harrah's = Hurrah's or Harry's, or Harr*h's


That way, if someone just runs a google search on a casino, our site won't be the first thing to come up, which it usually is now. Now, they could still look around the site, but the table games manager for Hilton couldn't just run a google search on "AC double deck" and have our site pop up. He'd have to go looking.

Thoughts?

Why worried about google search??

Why site is exposing data to google or other search services? Make data private and inaccessible to search services..

Data inside the site shall only be searched by site search feature...

As to the publicizing of specific casino names, there are reasons that both restraint and exposure should be pursued.
A high level of restraint should be the norm any time technical counting, tracking or hole carding specifics are discussed among trusted members. This. of course is easily maintained by the use of PM's.
On the other hand, when public exposure is called for, as in the case of special promos, rates, food etc., then, by all means spread the word! Another instance where wide spread publicity is called for are the sleazy casinos who are guilty of ripping off the customer, e.g. H-17, 6:5 BJ, 8 deckers and ridiculously crowded tables. These are the type of details that both the general gaming public as well as casino management need to be made aware of.

Yeah but even using the actual names when discussing cool promos or horrible service would still bring the site up if someone were to search for the name. And then they could look around...

There are some pretty standard and predictable derogatory nicknames for casinos: e.g. Circle Jerkus and it's old neighbor on Virginia St., the Golden Penis. Give a list of casino names to a group of adolescent males and they'll have a memorable code name for each one within an hour.

AC players now know that the Whorgata is not worth visiting anymore, but good pen can often be found at Retards, and occasionally the Dump Plaza.

I just said that cause another site i go on uses that method when the post other peoples screen names so if people google their screennames their site won't come up.

But some casino staff, I am certain, do not just search, but actually read all the posts, especially when they are already categorized, such as Eastern US, Las Vegas, Card Counting, Advanced Techniques, etc., etc. I know eyes who keep up with the various bulletin boards. I don't know if they read ours, but chances are they do. What I am driving at is that it gives a false sense of security to merely disguise the store. If it is a revealing post, it would be better to spread it by PM and personal request only. That way, any person you have doubts about can be given innocuous information. I know that I have been as guilty as the next guy in revealing too much by public post, but I am trying to be more aware, and also to edit my posts where it is brought to my attention.

Absolutely. I'm sure there's spies on here all the time. I'm just trying to make sure that when someone searches for a specific casino, our site isn't the first thing to pop up.

We still need to be vigilant against giving too much away, even if the name is protected from google searches.
