downtown LV payout info request

#1
Can anyone provide recent BJ payout info for downtown LV please? It sounds like more and more places are going to 6:5. Played a lot of SD and DD at 4 queens our recent 2 trips for low minimum and still got 3:2. Would greatly prefer to stick with SD or DD and less than 25 minimum.

Double deck is all still 3:2, mostly $5 and up. Single deck is 3:2 at 4 queens and El Cortez, but the 4 queens is D10 with poor pen. $10-15 mins on both.

$10 DD at Golden Nugget had decent rules and pen with 3:2, but NDAS.

Fremont also had $5 and $10 DD with same rules and the better paying LL side bet. Pen varied greatly by dealer. You could NDAS on their shoe game either which is really bad, especially for a downtown casino.

Fitzgerald's was the one who was paying 6:5 on their SD. Their 8 deckers also had some of the worst pen I've ever seen, stay away from these guys. I remember walking up to the SD table and asking if it was 6:5 to which the dealer said, "yes but its single deck!" I guess since its single deck its ok to be robbed.

El Cortez obviously has the best rules and minimums if that's what your looking for. But they don't call it the sweaty Spaniard for nothing.

In December, I saw two SD tables at 4 Queens - D10 RO5 3:2, and a 6:5 table with more liberal rules. Guess which one was crowded and which was empty.

The min on the SD at EC is now 10 bucks?? News to me.
Oh, I dunno. I thought it was ten, maybe it was five though.

Let me restate: EC has a playable SD game, and I have no idea what the table min or max is.

not necessarily

I think the Spaniard could not afford to offer its games if they were not super sweaty. The games are an ATM for card counters.
I've found that if you act like you enjoy the scene, you can get in some green action without drawing unusual scrutiny. (Tolerance of drunks and schizophrenics helps).

Just back from LV and thank god for the EC. While the pros with bigger bank rolls and using advanced play might have more choices ,for red chippers the EC is an island of hope in a city with higher limits and way more carnival games.I love this place.

From what I've read El Cortez ex-owner Jackie Gaughan always has given the little guy a fair shot. I've admired EC for years now...though I take a little of their money each trip to Vegas. I just about always cover the cost of the trip and some intimate professional companionship while I'm there. (too much info? lol)

With SD 3:2, you can do really well (.30) - but you should probably stay under no higher than $100-$150 bets, with no wild fluctuations and no playing more than one spot, look comfy, and you'll survive any remarkable interest from the suits. Start tossing around black chips and it's a different story. They may call checks play on 2 greens and let 10 reds go unmentioned. Just my experience, YMMV. But if you don't like being around unusual types and you want to bet large, this ain't your store.

There's a gameslowing sucker sidebet the locals are enthralled by, so try to get a seat alone or at an uncrowded table...(yes, Royal Match is a SUCKER bet - end of story).

I'm just a low-roller, but they treat me great. I always play rated (screw that incognito shyt - I want my comps), I never pay for meals there and rarely have to shell out for the room.
