Mountaineer Racing (owners of Binions) has a slot parlor pretty close to Erie. Anything else is pretty far,as far as I know.I'm thinking several hours each way by car.
You might be better off just enjoying the beaches on the Great Lakes.The Inland Sea is an experiance onto itself.

Yeah, Shad's right...Nowhere Land! You might as well come down to Pittsburgh and we can get sh*t faced on on good 'ol Iron City or Rolling Rock.

That would be Allegany in Salamanca New York. It's about an hour drive from Erie just head east on 86.

I guess Niagra Falls wouldn't be too ridiculous of a drive. Plus, I here there's some sort of other attraction there.
Getting across the border can be a real hassle,especially on weekends.The American Falls are much nicer than the Canadian ones,but you must cross over to see them.
Be aware that not all car insurance is valid in Canada,and you may need a special waiver. Same thing goes for rental cars.
I still think you should just enjoy the beach.

The Seneca indians run both Allegany and Niagara Falls on the US side. Don't bother with the Canadian side the conditions are horrible there. The rules are the same at both Allegany and Niagara so just go the the closer one.

being from the general region, it would be about a 2 hour drive. i asked someone else about turning stone (i think AMonk
) casino which is much farther east ~3-4hours and they said it wasn't worth it. sorry, no real info on the casinos in Niagra falls, as i was like 16 the last time i was there...though maybe they still have that good joint with lazer tag!
It's about 9 hours to AC from Erie, unless you drive very very fast...
Is there any other way to drive? Although its been a few years,I'd imagine one could do 80-85 the majority of the way from Erie to Philly.

No need to drive into Canada to see the Falls, just park on the US side and cross the Rainbow Bridge. (That sounds a lot worse than it is, I know.)
Don't forget to pick up an inexpensive bottle of booze or two on the way back at the Duty Free Shop.
Salamanca is playable, EV is to be had but I wouldn't make a special trip for it.
It is a little over an hour to Seneca Allegany from Erie. However, they recently opened a slot place on Presque Isle -- There was talk of possible table games at some point, but I don't know much more than that.
No passport required when driving in until 1/1/2008, but it's better if you have one. If not be sure to have good picture ID and preferably a birth cert.
Rainbow bridge in Niaga Falls can be busy during peak times. May be best to use Peace Bridge in Buffalo or Lewiston/Qweenston bridge depending on your route.
The games are better in N Falls NY. Hand shuffled, 8D, DAS, S17. In Ontario Casino Niagara is all CSM. Fallsview has some CSM, and ASM, a few hand shuffled tables, but they seem to vary the stakes on the hand shuffled ... may be $5, may be $25. They do have Lucky Ladies, Multi Spot BJ and yes ... sometimes CASINO WAR!
