Sports betting online for FREE!!!

This new website is pretty cool. The AP did a story on the college student and his friends that put this together. It is very interesting. This group of friends enjoyed sport betting - together! One of them created a program, or site, that his buddies said was so good he had to go public. So, here it is.

http://www.centsports.com

You join for free. You are given $.10 for free. You bet anyway you want. If you win, you continue. If you lose all your moolah, they give you another free $.10. If you win over $20.00, you are eligible to cash out. They will actually cut you a check and mail it to you!!!

WHAT COULD BE MORE FUN, A FREE CHALLENGE!!!

Not a bad format

The layout and format are kinda nice. They are user friendly, especially for dummies and beginners. A good place to start before going to a bookie!
It is also a good place to go to find the spreads, over unders, and such.

I've got an account on there as a way to test out some betting concepts...not a bad way to test them out, plus you can cash out winnings.

good luck

FYI and About...

the website and the creator, and how they keep it legal.

Online gambling is no longer an illegal one. A Webpreneur, Victor Palmer has founded a completely legal online gambling outfit called Centsports.com, in College Station, Texas. The site works something like this: Each user starts off with 10 cents in his or her account, provided by Centsports. From there, they can bet on any event for which Las Vegas bookmakers set a line. Once users accumulate $20 in winnings–the equivalent of doubling your money eight times, or striking gold on a 200-to-1 long shot, they can cash out a minimum of $10 and receive an actual check in the mail. Losers risk nothing, except perhaps a touch of pride.

Victor Palmer has included three elements to violate most state gambling laws–namely “prize, chance and consideration.” In the words of attorney Chuck Humphrey, a gaming-law specialist and author of the Gambling Law U.S. blog, the Centsports.com doesn’t allow users to bet their own stash, no “consideration” is involved, and thus all is kosher. ”

Congress assumes if you’re dumb enough to give away money, then go for it

says Humphrey.

How does Palmer aim to turn a profit? Hungry advertisers–which thus far include Skype, Pizza Hut and the National Basketball Association–and a meager marketing budget consisting of those 10-cent initial stakes and a few teaser videos on YouTube.

To conclude, Palmer, the owner of all these, is not an average 26 year old man. He began college at Lubbock Christian University at age of 11. He graduated at 16 with a BS in mathematics; soon after began working on a Masters degree in physics at Texas Tech University; and in 2006 bagged a Ph.D. in computer science from Texas A&M University.

Parlay chicken out

I had a parlay on the Alabama/Tulane game. I chickened out and made it two bets. :flame: I just won both, :) I should not have second guessed!!!
I should have left well enough alone.
I took Tulane and the +30,
And also took the over/under for under 45.

No junk...

I have not received any spam or additional mail since joining.
I think they rely only on the clicks on sponsors and the increased payoff if you click on and accept a sponsors offer to increase your odds. It is an interesting concept.

This is an awesome site!

As for Centpoker.com, well it is basically a similar business model, where you get to play poker with advertisers (free) money and you might end up with real cash if you win. You need at least 10 bucks to cash out.
