Foxwoods is still better. I would rather be kicked repeatedly in the nuts than play blackjack at Mohegan Sun.
With the change at Foxwoods, which game is better
Hello Everyone,
I'm an experienced card counter who plays for the fun of beating the casinos at their own game. I live minutes from Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun in Connecticut and have been playing the 8 deck games at Foxwoods and MGM Grand for their good penetration. With the change at Foxwoods, which game is better, the 6 deck S17 at Mohegan Sun with penetration in the mid 60% range or the H17 8 deck at Foxwoods with 80% pen which I can and do find? I can find 75% pen at Mohegan Sun occasionally but I really have to search for it. I did see the SCORE from SlightOfHand but I was wondering if anyone could elaborate.
At FW right now and I can confirm that it's true. Two of the four parts already have converted to H17. Sad day. I really hope all the ploppies start going to MS to force them to change it back.
Yes, I think FW is still the preferable game due to pen considerations.
How much of foxwoods is h17? is it all or only half like somebopdy suggested before? theres like 4 or 5 sections of foxwoods with table games.
I was there on Saturday and everything except MGM was H17. I believe they are changing MGM this week if it's not changed already. The HL rooms are still S17.
BTW, Ferret, this is the guy you met at FW about a month ago that got you a free dinner.
As of TODAY … High Limit BJ is still 6 deck S17 L.S. at Foxwoods and the penetration in the Newport room is excellent with 0.8 to 1.0 decks cut off.
Is the heat in the HL room still as high as it's purported to be?
That's where I got b/o'dIs the heat in the HL room still as high as it's purported to be?
I have played in the Newport and MGM HL rooms on occasion (mainly when I'm playing from behind) at various times of day and have not experienced too much heat spreading 10:1 or 12:1 (50-500/600).
That being said, I would hazard a guess that the HL rooms will definitely get sweatier now considering the vast difference in quality between the games outside and inside. Before the risk/reward wasn't really worth it to play in the HL rooms. Now, with generally less crowded tables, S17, 6 decks, and better pen, it will more than likely be worth it to play in the HL rooms as long as you make sure to have your heat radar up.
I wonder how much FW makes out doing this...the percentage obviously tips in their favor, but I wonder how many followers they lose...
MGM has not been re-felted yet, as of yesterday.
They would be wise to leave it S17. Make it a trap!
By "trap" you mean a "place with good rules, with the aim of 'concentrating' all the relatively knowledgeable players in the same area, so as to make it easy to spot counters," am I correct?
