Apparently Norm does. Or did. :laugh: I think it's a more common event that you think, and was probably even a bigger commonplace back then. I love reading the stories in Norm's book and other books that I have read about old vegas in the 70's. Being born in the 80's, I missed all that and am just fasinated by it. Sounds like such a hoot.

In the summer of 2008, I jumped in my car and drove to a family reunion, then stopped in Vegas to meet friends on my way back. I began to understand why people sell their home and buy an RV - the sense of freedom is a rush. The only timeline is the one you set for yourself - no planes to catch, no job to go to, nobody to report to. I imagine it's a lot easier with wireless internet, a car with GPS and cell phones - I made my reservation for Vegas through Priceline the night before I got there and snagged a concierge-level room at Planet Hollywood for $55.

Ok, jason, I have read the on line book that was sugguested Modern blackjack, which was very good and informative. I also took your advice and ordered blackjack attack which I have nor received yet.

I withdrew another thousand dollars to increase my bankroll to $2000. I know it says I should have more but I want to start out small and grow the bankroll. I am increasing my bet amount spread to $5 , if I can find a table or $10 up to $40. I also don't play the bad times when the number is negative So far I have made 3 trips to atlantic city and won two and lost one. The loss was bigger than the wins which kind of sucks but I am still ahead $45.

can you tell me which casino's in atlantic city have $5 tables?

You have made good choices in both Qfit's Modern Blackjack and Blackjack Attack 3. You will learn a great deal from both.

I hope you don't think that when I said $1000 was not enough BR to play $10 units that I was advising you to withdrawl additional funds to add to your bankroll. Not knowing what your situation, financial and other, I certainly would never do so. However if you are able to do so, and the possibility of losing those funds isn't a problem, then yes, 200 units is better than 100, although still have a reasonably high chance of tapping out.

I know Borgata has a $5 table at most times. Showboat used to have one as well, not sure if they still do. Taj Mahal has $5 tables on weekday mornings until 11am or noon. Maybe some of the others that are more familiar with $5 tables can direct you better.
