Last night a ploppy split 5 times a pair of tens against a 3. So he had 6 tens in six hands and finished with 16s to 19s. The dealer closed the round with a 20! All the bets gone! Very funny situation for everybody except for the ploppy!

What a coincidence! Probably it was me but I need to make some correction on this story. Last night I played 2 hands and dealer shown a 4. I split all my ten pairs and finished with 12s to 20s, most 20s (14,20,20, 16,20,20). However somehow the dealer managed to draw a few cards to 20, too. The true count was +15. Dropped to +11 when I finished splitting. For a 6 deck game, it is a rare opportunity as it is far above the threshold +6. How can I not split tens? (Normally I split tens against 4 when true count is +8, 2 notches above the index, unless I won a lot in the session then I split tens at +6).

It's in South America, I was surprised too with this rule. It's an odd resplitting rule because you can only resplit your first card, not the second, third, etc.
And you can resplit aces and hitting them too!

Also - How do you know it was a ploppy and not an AP?

It's a CSM game! And the ploppy also liked to split tens against a dealer ten!

No, the casino is in Punta del Este, Uruguay, a posh resort. I live in Argentina and houses don't have basements here, but we have Moms for sure!

I would normally stop after resplitting once. My index for resplitting tens would be 2 over the index for splitting once. I'm perfectly happy with 2 or 3 20s vs 5 or 6
