KO basic strategy calls for splitting 9's v 2. So does this mean you stand on this play when you reach the pivot ?

Yes, thats what I am saying. Basic chart says split. So, when you hit your pivot, does this mean to stand on 9-9 v 2, as this is in category A.
On p. 86, column A, 9 v 2 means you should double at the pivot point. It has nothing to do with 9-9 v 2.
