opens up the basic strategy for the double deck.
There're discrepancies on splitting 2's, 3's, & 6's.
Also, double vs split on two 4's.
Which is correct?
Which basic strategy deviations are the most useful?

there is no discrepancy. perhaps you are misunderstanding the index plays or not looking at the corresponding basic strategy chart?

My mistake.
When you select (or unselect) double after split, you get a different chart.
For example, 3's vs 2 is a split or hit depending on the rules.

I might be mis-reading it again. Sorry.
According to the strategy chart, double on 9 vs 2.
However, according to the indices, double 9 vs2 if TC >= 2.
Should I double 9 vs 2 all the time, or only when TC >= 2?
Doubling 11 vs A is easy. Do it if the count is positive.

for the situation where you have a 9 and the dealer has a 2 showing: think of all the possible card combinations where you could have a 9.

(4,5), (3,6), (2,7), (2,3,4), (3,3,3)

i haven't done the math on it but just quickly looking it, it looks like on average your hand and the dealer's 2 will yield a running count of about +3. and if you divide by 2 to get the true count, you get +1.5..so since it says the index to double 9v2 is +2, that looks right, or at least very close..

and just to be picky: it is saying to double A v 11 if the count is positive or 0.
