New Blackjack Software available.

Review of Software

Besides the transparent advertisement, ( :vomit: ) I still fell for it and went ahead and downloaded the demo… not that bad, the pace is a little frustrating. I played with the animation speed control and could find no in-between, either too slow or too fast. Nevertheless this software had some very powerful tools. Still, nothing can compete with QFIT’s Casino Vérité Blackjack. And worst of all is the price, $150, but that seems to be universal for all blackjack training software... Speaking of which, once my classes get over (last final on May 5th!) I will begin working on a completely free, advertiseless, open source, blackjack training software. More news will be given later, though; I think I might have already said too much! Hehe!

2 versions

There will ultimately be 2 versions of the program, one written in Flash/Action Script, the other written in BASIC and Modified for the TI-83 calculator series.

Reason I have chosen Action Script is for its simplicity and ability to get the job done the fastest. There will be an online version and a downloadable version. As for the BASIC version, most of my friends who I am going to train for my card counting team are in college, and most of them have a TI-83 calculator. What would be more fun then practicing your card counting during that boring history lecture!?

I plan on getting at least a few screenshots, and possibly a small demo, ready and will make an official public announcement. You can expect this announcement, along with an explanation of many other things, by Sunday, May 1st, 2005. :)
