Nothing Different In CT (XXXCharlesXXXTownXXX)
Two trips to CT, one up 10 $25 units, one down 11 $50 units. Both trips played a long time, last night 10 hours. The first trip, pen was great at times, but still the same bad rules. Second trip, pen was weak and horrible at times. Had to call a dealer down on cutting more than two decks. He claimed he was supposed to cut on the other side of the notch, not on the notch and definitely not behind the notch. I left. Fortunately I won $500 at Baccarat (before losing at BJ). Three times I was down to $2,000 or more including what was bet on the table, and three times recovered. Once I was up over $1,000. I'd sure like to reverse these stats and find myself up more than down. Increasing my max bet ($250 at $25 and $500 at $50) would not help; I'd only have been down more the times I was down.
I did hit the lucky ladies for 19 to 1 with a pair of tens of hearts for a $25 wager. With a plus count well above plus 10 I blew a good $300 on LL with $25 down without hitting a pair of tens even. That was a rough shoe.
CT is not for the weak of heart, in fact, I doubt I'd ever go there except for its proximity to my home. The only thing I can say is that I am ahead since going there, and that is totally attributable to finding dealers giving good pen. Last night that was next to impossible due to the crush of people at all the tables, even the $50 tables. Don't go on the weekends-- it really sucks big time.
