Actually, Zen did well. What you're looking at is each strategy charted as a percent of the best Super-SCORE for that penetration. So, even at its "worst", Zen still performed at a level 89-90% of that of whichever strategy was given a 100% Super-SCORE for that penetration level. So, the differences are nowhere near as large as they appear. Also, the AOII in this chart *includes* a side ace count, which I believe you said was something you wanted to get away from.CountingCards said:Oh, I see. In that case, based on the chart, it looks like Zen actually did pretty bad, compared to AOII which I'm already using. They both have generally the same curve, but AOII is higher the whole time. What am I to make of this? I really want to try zg's idea with Z-O, but this chart...
Sure, any time. I wish you the best. I take a lot of "working vacations" so maybe our paths will cross one day. I'll be sure to look for the guy playing AOII.CountingCards said:Hmm, an interesting conclusion from Norm. Well, I have CVBJ, so I think what I must now do is - like you said - try out strategies. I will be trying both AOII with ASC and the Z-O, and seeing which one I can do better/enjoy more. Good analogy with the walking, I think I am almost there with the Omega II, but I still need to practice more. Really interesting post overall, I think it's all finally coming together for me now. Thanks for your input
Ace-Side Counts are difficult for most. Try it on CVBJ first and you may be horrified at how many errors you are making when trying to use this strategy. In case you don't know, CVBJ allows you to program your strategy, and it will flag all errors that you make. However, if with time you are able to become competent with the ace-side count, then hey, go for it. Just really make sure that you can play the strategy you want to use, without any effort whatsoever.CountingCards said:Hmm, an interesting conclusion from Norm. The ASC will add nothing to your game except extra mental work. You will be working harder to achieve the same result. Save the brain power for more important yields. zgCountingCards said:Whether I end up using the side count or not, I agree that there's more to learn down the road. I'm very interested in shuffle tracking or at least Ace tracking later on.
Thanks for the kind words everyone, I suppose this thread is just about done now.
Ok, since you are the expert here, I will go with you on this one. Here's my final plan. I will use Z-O as recommended for shoes, and fall back to Omega II with ASC for pitch games.zengrifter said:The ASC will add nothing to your game except extra mental work. I think that keywords in your last post being used in response to one of Zg's posts probably just caused a message to be sent to IC&T's blackberry.CountingCards said:Ok, since you are the expert here, I will go with you on this one.
Who is IC&T? I'm sorry, I don't understand this post.Southpaw said:I think that keywords in your last post being used in response to one of Zg's posts probably just caused a message to be sent to IC&T's blackberry.

He is a moderator. Some may say ZG is a tad, just a tad, controversial.CountingCards said:Who is IC&T? I'm sorry, I don't understand this post.
