Playing with a players card

Are there any books that discuss playing with a players card. I realize this might be a dumb question because anonymous is better.
Why would you use a player card and voluntarily give them your real name etc?
Casinos no longer offer any comps that make it worth giving up your identity.
Not if you are trying to make any real money playing BJ.
If you just like feeling good that they gave you a "free" tank of gas, or steak dinner...then yeah I guess go ahead and give them your name.
Once they have your identity, they will share it with all nearby casinos and also put you in the worldwide databases.
After that...any casino in the world that uses the databases...if you come on their radar...all they need to do is look up your name and then back you off.
Doesn't make sense to me.
My approach is to never allow any casino to know my identity.
Ratholing and other techniques etc, makes up for it in my experience.

I've encountered some native stores that won't cash you out unless you produce ID.
Me too.
I just demand that they cash me out.
Or I just leave with my chips, and come back to cash them at another time.
I also anonymously email their casino board regulators, politicians etc and let them know what transpired at said casino. And that if it happens again, I will return with the local news media.
My email usually has a title like..."Possible Gaming Violation by xxx Casino".
A title like that gets a lot of eyeballs to read it...everyone at the casino, and news station reads it.
My emails usually copy all their politicians, all Native stores in the area, and any local news stations that I can find.
I have had good results.

I see a case for playing rated in NJ that might be different from the rest of the country because we can’t be backed off for counting. I find that when I play unrated, I just put a spotlight on myself and they automatically limit me to one hand and a bet spread of 10x. While rated, I’m spreading from one hand of $25 to two hands of $400, although I’m feeling heat at times, no counter measures have been placed on me yet. So, there may be unique circumstances that warrant playing rated like I’m finding in AC.

You haven't been playing long enough. You will be counter-measured. I've had the 5-50 placard placed in front of me in more than one HL room in AC.

Yes, I expect this to happen eventually. What is the benefit, in my circumstance, to play unrated and be forced to play 1-10 spread the moment I sit down? Isn’t it better to be rated and at least be able to have a wider spread for a while?

That's a tough call. AC is so bad these days.

Problem is you will burn out your name and it will be shared. I know for a fact the Borg sent my info to Harrahs. When I played AC a lot, I had player's cards in many different names, but that was a long time ago when technology was a lot simpler. I wouldn't do it today.

Good points and I appreciate you sharing your experience in AC. I’m here to share and hopefully receive expertise from more experienced APs. I decided that my priority and strategy is to be profitable, over longevity. If I burn my name in a matter of 2 years and only make 50-100k in the process, I prefer that to not pushing and spreading and making considerably less or breaking even because my spread is too tight. I’m also hopeful that desperation in these challenging times for AC will give me a longer runway.

That brings up questions around facial recognition software, which if anyone didn’t know that casinos use, you know now because of Covid. Seems no casino will pay you out at the cage until you pull your mask down for the camera. I wonder what happens if use my brother’s card (a non gambler) with my face.

Sometimes they ID me just to enter the casino at MGM. I'm not sure how to get around that. Do they have the right to make you pull your mask down to get into casino or ID you? What about when cashing out chips? MGM has seen my ID and players card several times and I can tell they have been watching me even though I havent been counting. Should I just use this to my advantage when I start counting and continue to show them my ID and players card or no?

you'll get paid. Anywhere in AC i've been that ask me to lower my mask insta paid me out after pulling it down. Half of the cashiers even forget to ask. It's not like you flash your face and they call upstairs to verify. Even if they realize you used someone else's card you'd already be long out the door with the money.

How does one go about getting a players card under an alias?
