Slow motion dealers

I had a dealer the other day who dealt so slow it was difficult to count. It through my timing off. This might of been ok if it was my first time ever counting. The speed was about one and a half mississippi's per card and picking up the cards and paying out the money was no faster. He made it through a whole two shoes then luckily he went on break and never came back. I would have left the table but the casino was packed and didn't want to give up my seat. I can't see the casino keeping this guy cause they won't make any money. Has anyone else ever encountered something like this?

Yeah, slow dealers are a lot more distracting than fast dealers. Very annoying. Since the casino was packed, I guess you were stuck there. Hopefully it was just the relief dealer and not the table's regular dealer.

Cornado at the *** is the slowest dealer I've ever encountered. One and a half mississippis might be a little fast for him. After you signal for a hit he will even hold up his finger as if asking, "You want one more?" Than you have to signal again. Another wierd thing he does is take off his glasses to shuffle and then put them back on so he can see the cards when he's dealing. It didn't effect my counting at all, but it was a little frustrating.

Played at Slots A Fun a few weeks ago against Prez, an older black gentleman who talked CONSTANTLY. It was humorous at first, but got to be a little irritating a half-hour later. I wanted to play the 3-5 dollar tables longer, but I ended up taking a cab to Fremont Street.

Some dealers are too fast, some too slow, some talk too much, some not at all. Just another consideration when scouting games, I guess.

Actually PREZ is one of the most enjoyable and deepest dealers there - especially good when you are playing the LLadies side bet per count and you can count on him not to shuffle up. One of my favorite dealers. zg
