Hey Fellaz and Ladies..
Planning a trip through So. California. Are there any conditions that I should head towards or that I should stay far away from?

You could hit up several places - Pala deals fairly deep on their 6-deck shoe, always $15/min. Cut off about 1 deck (notch), DA2, DAS, LS, RSA, H17, split to 4.

Their DD deals OK but no surrender or resplit aces. They usually like to keep the tables crowded.

According to CBJN the DD at Harrah's down the road is LS and RSA. I have no played it and do not know what the penetration is. I think all tables are only 5-spot.

There are a few more along the road that these casinos are on - starting with Pala.

Barona has great games if you are a low roller. If you bet black they will eventually pick you off but the back off will be very polite.

I played there recently with my girlfriend. Nice casino, nice rooms, good DD ($25 minimum), and I saw a couple dealers cutting as low as about a deck and a quarter off the 6 deck shoes ($5 minimums).

barona was great until they took out their 3:2 Single Deck. Now its just another place to play DD with great rules but it is always crowded because it is 18 and up. Go to Harrahs its really nice and has great HL also.

Might as well do Harrah's since their's and Barona's DD rules are the same. Not to mention closer. Barona is in the sticks. I went, once, to play their SD game with the intention of returning. Of course they take it away.

i was playing and this lady was winning all her 2x hands. so i mean what do you expect when you have a 3:2 SD. it doesnt get any easier then that!. she took like 3k easy

Forgive me for my ignorance...is Harrahs Rincon 100% owned by Caesars Entertainment or jointly owned by some Indian tribe? I asked because I don't think California allows Vegas style casinos unless the casinos are on Indian land.

It is a joint venture I believe. Typical CA casino (no dice and no roulette, etc.).

Harrah's Rincon is owned by the Rincon Tribe and managed by HCL (Harrah's). Comps are much the same as any other Harrah's property but Harrah's Rincon has loosened up some in the last 6 months with comped tickets to shows and more giveaway days. New monthly BJ tournament is worth playing ($20 buy-in for gold, free for others). They have nice rooms, a very nice pool area and good restaurants (Oyster Bar is my favorite). Also, they have 3 to 5 days a month with multiplied comp credits (3X to 7X which is card type dependent). Never had much heat but I don't try to break them either (up to 5X minimum spread is my usual).
