Some AC updates

I havtn been to ac in a while, but i had been preparing to begin attacking the double exposure bj games, in preperation, i made a trip to all 9 casinos on the strip, i parked at thew hilton, and walked the hole bw, in an effort to notate which casinos have double exposure. Sadly, i found tropicana was the only one, but on a happier note, I took the time to notate a few changes in the AC lineup.

Some things i noticed, that may or may not be news.

Resorts has removed the H17 rule from their felts, I havtn been to resorts in a long time because of it, so maybe this isnt new, but im sure you are all happy to hear this. In addition, two of their 6 deck tables were "tolerating" midshoe entry. The sign said "players must play all hands" but nobody was stoping me from entering as i pleased.

For those of you In the sp21 arena, i notived that the resorts sp21 tables were s17, DOA, DAS, and you could double down on any number of cards being more than two when the situation presnts itself, i seem to recall the split three times to four hands but dont quote me on it. double down rescue and sureender was available also. I really dont think they could make the game any more sweeter, unfortunately i havnt taken the time to learn to attack it.

Resorts was the highlight of the evening, but beware of poor penetration in the 6 deckers if you arnt backcounting.

Trumpy taj has added 5 tables in and around the ego lounge, which i dont recall being there, i previoiusly remember only 2 tables. Thrursdays through sunday, for what timefram i dont know they have dancing girls in sexy leather outfits and a live band playing hard rock and roll. If your esily distracted, it might not be a good idea to play when these girls are dancing litterally 5 feet i front of you on the other side of the bjfelt. For myself, thought, it was an extremely pleasnat addition to my night playign bj, so much that i was now willing to tolerate the long perios of no player advantage that accompany 8 deck h17 games. Trump taj has a mixture of h17 and s17 games, however, the s17 games are all no midshoe, and 25 dollar minimums.

Hilton has 6 deckers that alow midshoe entry at managements discretion, and they are s17. They have h17 tables too, and there is no releation or apparent reason for them havign both. It seems that they choose simply to offer h17 games and s17 games for players to pick between. The h17 tables have large red signs labeling them so, you dont need to look at the felt.

Tropicana has some 6 deck games scattered about, i didnt detect a trend on their location or minimums when i noticed them, but they are there.

Trump plaza has closed the location of low limit tables where there was also poker tables, downstairs near the bw. You couldnt enter that room, IDK what is happening there. Plaza is still s17, i didnt notate much else when i was there as i said, i was simply looking for doubel exposure tables.

ceasars, ballys, wwwm and showboat all still h17 8 decks, nothing new or exciting at either place.

So thats it for now, i wa too tired to drive and do borgata, harrahs and marina, Borgata is still 6 deck s17, but they also have 8 deck tables in two pits.

I suspect marina may have seen some changes, but i havtn been there in a long time, anybody know the scoop? do they have double exposure, are they still h17?

Very valuable info, FNP. Haven't been there in a couple months, so this helps for an upcoming drive out there.

Ferret,
I disagree with your posting on Resorts. I was there Tuesday afternoon myself and found it to be the best game in AC with only one deck cut off and it wasn't just one dealer but both 6 deck games. Wonging in at these games is in my opinion pointless and dangerous since there were only 2 6 deck games and you'd easily be spotted. 6 deck games here are always $25 min.

Yes resorts is the best game in AC and has been for the better part of the summer. (dealt deeply and stand soft 17) Selfishly, I was hoping nobody would pick up on this and post it.

Ferretnparrot,

Firstly there is no Double Exposure BJ offered in A.C.

I am hoping that you are not referring to Double Attack BJ, as that is a very poor game, to understate the case.

Secondly, The info you gave on Spanish21 is less than meaningful as the game has identical rules at all A.C. casinos.

I have been (practically) commuting to New Jersey these days.

Ferretnparrot,

Firstly there is not now, nor has there ever been Double Exposure BJ offered in A.C. -- at least not since the mid 1980's.
Not at all true- Trop is the last man standing for DE (and Multiple Action), although the table is rarely open.

Really ?

It must be open VERY rarely indeed.

I have never seen it.

I am guessing that it has poor rules, like double down restrictions.

Between you and Flash giving bad information which you guys know isn't true, I don't know who is worse.....I can understand if you don't want to post sensitive info, but don't go lying about it.

I beg your pardon sir. I may choose to not share information as I have personally seen games deteriorate overnight. (a while back resorts was offering a deeply dealt game and after BJinsider declared them the best blackjack in AC, the penetration disappeared the next day) However, I have never lied about conditions and if someone else posts that good game I will usually confirm such, as I did in this case. I resent your accusation.

While I never consume intoxicants of any type while plying my trade;
I have the awful habit of posting to this site while I am under the influence of ...

In any case, I have never deliberately spread "misinformation".

I appreciate it when others point out my errors and I strive to correct them A.S.A.P.
- and I generally apologize promptly as well.

Yes, it's a D9 game, makes it not worth playing. I don't believe there are any DOA DE games left in the US.

Its really not up for debate, The table is located right in front of the cage in between two multi action nj tables. It opens on friday and saturday nights, and some other days as well when it is busy.

I just checked the New Jersey State Casino Control Commission's monthly Revenue reports going back to late 2008.

Not a single dollar was wagered at Double Exposure at any Atlantic City casino.

For anyone doubting this, please see the revenue reports at:

http://www.njccc.gov/casinos/financia/mthrev/index.html (Archive copy)
The report also show not a single dollar wagered at 6-5 blackjack in any Atlantic City casino as well. Oviously, they lump them in with the blackjack revenue.

Look Again.

On the second page for each casino line item #32 is for "6/5 Blackjack".

Nothing is lumped together, slot machine denominations included.

There is a line for Double Attack BJ and for Spanish21 as well.

Correct but line 32 is blank, 0 tables, 0 revenue for every single casino. Are you telling me there is no 6-5 blackjack in AC?

Spanish 21 and double attack are seperated out from blackjack because it is a completely different game, played with a different deck or deck of cards. 6-5 blackjack is the same game played with the same 52 card deck, the only thing that changes is the payout. Thus it is lumped in with blackjack revenue.

Holy Cow.

You are 100% correct.

I really got to put down this pipe.
Personally, I don't consider 6-5 blackjack. I think the revenues should be seperated out. Let people see how much the casino's are making off this rip-off of blackjack. If I recall, there is at least one juristiction that won't even allow them to call 6-5 games "BLACKJACK".

They lose money to me on 6:5! But apparently I am not the first AP they've seen play it, because I got lit up pretty good last time.

You wrote earlier "Resorts was the highlight of the evening, but beware of poor penetration in the 6 deckers if you arnt backcounting." which is false.
