Was watching and old 2001 episode of Las Vegas Revealed.
They showed a a bank of VCR's labeled appropriately Roul., Carb. Stud, etc.etc. and then 2 machines labeled Hard count and Soft count.
explanations anyone ?
I am not sure on the amount of time needed to keep surveillance tapes ( I am also fairly certain it varies from area to area) but casinos do keep the tapes for at least a few shifts in case of problems. That might explain the banks of tapes.
