Tapped. No BJ except for CSM games

I am surprised a tap would not allow BJ at the continuous shuffle machines. Are they really afraid you will win there?
"Mr. Smith, you are not allowed to play BJ here ever again, unless it is at our continuous shuffle machine games."

God, how many innovative ways that they invent to convey that you are a card counter.

Am I reading your post correctly? The first sentence implies no play alowed at the CSM. Last sentence states you may not play UNLESS it is a CSM.

Although I don't worry about being barred, or banned quite yet, I do part-take in the changing of various outfits and disguises particularly if I'm feeling rather silly or itchy to have some extra fun. Your situation sounds like a load of bullox there though mate, I'd try the disguise route and have some extra fun with it. I like to wear me fancy suit from time to time and some hollywood make up, with slicked back hair, as the most famous brit spy of all, James Bond. I'm a silly **** I am ya?Lol.

It did not happen. Sorry for the confusing way...

I posted. I was wondering why they don't allow you to play CSM when they read you the your new playing in their casino rules. If you can do anything, but BJ because they think you are a counter, why not let you play at the CSM tables?
Again sorry for the confusing way I posted.

Once they identify you as a professional, they can't take the chance that you're ONLY a card counter. For all they know, you're a CHEATER also. And besides, believe it or not; there ARE legal techniques to beat the CSM, although MOST of them are rather difficult and yield too small of an edge to make it worthwhile anyway (but THEY don't know that).

Case in point: I have a friend who got barred from playing blackjack at a major casino for ace-tracking too accurately. They told him that he could play ANY other game in the casino. So he went over to the baccarat table and proceeded to pick a 9 out of the 8-deck shoe (24% advantage). After winning the bet the casino manager finally smartened up and barred him from the whole property.

What the hell is wrong with this guy? Why would you go run a tracking play on another game after you've been barred? At least come back on another shift!

I asked him this exact same question to his face, in these exact same words. And I'm STILL not 100% sure that he's completely learned his lesson.

BTW, how come they yell "Checks Play" at a CSM table (they do)?
I'm pretty sure this casino policy doesn't change based on the type of bj-based game. The dealers are just robots following casino policy (hopefully NOT). The higher ups that set this policy are too ignorant and too nervous about game protection to realize the difference between pitch, shoe and csm and probably don't want their dealers thinking anyway. Think about where those people came from. They are just dealers who worked their way through the ranks and they have the same voodoo mindset as almost all casino personnel do.

I love it when the dealer calls the pit by name and then "checks play" real nervously and waits for the authorization just to deal the hand. What the hell are these places in business for? Flat bets only?

Possibly for risk management. The reason they usually call "black action" is to let the floor know that the inventory of black chips may be changing.

If you were the floor, would you want to know if a guy was betting purple, even if he wasn't counting? You'd want to watch and make sure the dealer wasn't dumping to him, there weren't mispays, etc.

I have even heard a dealer yell out, "Doubling down on A7".

I thought this was just a proper basic strategy play. Why does the pit need to be alerted on this?

I've heard it and I understand why they would say it. When used properly, this is the quickest way to tell the difference between a ploppy and a potential AP. Calling out "doubling on soft 18" is equal to saying "this guy might have a brain".
