The difference between Atlantic City and Poop??

There is none. I guess if there was one it would be that poop sometimes isnt slimy. It matters not, because that is where I play and where i must remain playing. There is no escape to greener pastures ;there is no honest 6 deck, there will be no surrender available and there certainly wont be any godamned 2 deck pitch games for this dood. So i do what anyone in my position would do- SHOULD do in any case if they were addicted to blackjack- dive right into the heart of the stench and backcount my way through the hordes of deranged degenerate morons and miniature asian women.
So AC sucked- but nooooo it wasnt enough for them to just suck- so they changed the rules again just to make sure nobody could ever come a close to being as greedy and shameless as them. And the people just eat up these crap games.Shame shame shame on them. The Borgota had the only good game in town- honest 6 deck and 5 minimums on a few tables for Gods sake. Well that is gone. Thx alot morons. Trop has 6 deck left- but they will be hitting their soft 17s as they see fit. If you like having a seventeen against dealer soft 17 and losing $200 to an 18 well this is the perfect game for you- HAVE FUN!!!! thats what its all about and AC never stops giving!! So suppose you dont want to count the same 6 tables every day of your pathetic existence- well then your off to fight the mighty 8 deckers- but WAIT- you cant even do THAT anymore as they have done the unthinkable- the unimaginable-they are hitting soft 17 on the eight deckers-well F U TOO!! And yet they come in droves, fighting over each other to sit at these tables, drooling on their arms and spilling drinks onto one another.I will have my revenge.

Should I call 911 now? Please let me know when it will be safe to travel north to AC.

Hey, take a valium. It's not as bad as all that. Switch to a different addiction. Work part time in a hospital. Feed the homeless. Donate your gambling bankroll to the Little Sisters of the Poor. Take a deep breath! repeat after me. I am not going to play blackjack in Atlantic City anymore! I am not going to play blackjack in Atlantic City anymore! (Keep repeating.) Walk outdoors. Stand erect! Walk the boardwalk with confidence and a spring in your gait (spring, not swish!). Smile! Give a few degenerate vagrants a buck or two. Keep walking. Or better yet, drive your car home and never return to Atlantic City again. Beat them at their own game! Stay home! Aghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

AC/poop

At least for now, PA requires all casinos to offer S17 and LS (details on games elsewhere on this board). You probably won't find $5 tables (I've only been to Mt. Airy on the weekend, and the lowest there is $15), but I think for many AC patrons PA is a viable and attractive alternative. Maybe AC's games will improve if the casinos there lose enough business to those elsewhere that offer better games.

In principle I am against government interfering with private enterprise. Let the marketplace determine the product, its price and all the other details. But I have to admit that PA has far better games than those in AC. Still, it's not over yet--nothing will stop them from changing all their games to CSM. Or is that forbidden in the PA law? So far I have not heard that. Are there CSMs in PA? If so, enjoy it while you have it--shoe games, that is. In Delaware, CSMs dominate, although some shoe games can still be found.

I like that the PA laws specify good blackjack rules better than most places I found in Vegas. Philly's Sugar House and Harrah's Chester are both only an hour away. Even if you're staying in AC, it would be better to drive to PA than to play in the casino downstairs.

At MS in Wilkes-Barre, PA, CSM's dominate. Last night there were two hand shuffled games versus twelve CSM games and only six were open. A PC told me they were meeting today to discuss removing them because of the inactivity at the CSM tables.

I guess the theory that when the pros stop playing, the word spreads to the ploppies, is proving true. No? Why else would the ploppies eschew the CSMs?

Ploppy logic?

I talk to these creatures at times and believe it or not they do come up with some thoughts that mimic logic. This is not true in all regions of the country but is more localized in areas of low concentration of stores. We have to write off Vegas because of the constant influx of clueless people. The general population that visit stores in an given area eventually wake up and send a message to the management by staying away. The biggest comment from uninformed players is that you lose faster at those darn machines and more often.

True, there is a general mistrust of machines. I've even heard some ploppies suggest that maybe the casino is stacking the deck with these machines.

Well i marched right into the Parx casino, fully expecting a heaping, stinking pile of s*#t to be offered to me and that is what i got. 8 deckers - O.K. no problem- it's what im used to and its certainly better than learning to be a doctor or spending time with my family- but now they cover the discard pile? I have no idea when the shoes are gonna pop off- this is murder for a miserable back counting pit buzzard- Its like taking the pipe from a helpless feeble crackhead- the sh#t is still sittin right there but you are making it awfully hard to hit it. Oh and there is no surrender- fuggedabout that- they wont even let you LOSE properly.

1, Unbalanced count.

2, Someone needs to print out a copy of the PA state law requiring Late Surrender and take it next trip to Parx.

58 PA Code § 549.9. Surrender.

(a) After the first two cards are dealt to the player and the player’s point total is announced, the player may elect to discontinue play on his hand for that round by surrendering one-half his wager. All decisions to surrender shall be made prior to the player indicating whether he wishes to double down as permitted under § 549.11 (relating to Double Down Wager), split pairs as permitted under § 549.12 (relating to splitting pairs), stand or draw permitted under § 549.13 (relating to drawing of additional cards by players and the dealer).
(1) If the first card dealt to the dealer is not an ace or ten-value card, the dealer shall immediately collect one-half of the wager and return one-half to the player.
(2) If the first card dealt to the dealer is an ace or ten-value card, the dealer will place the player’s wager on top of the player’s cards. When the dealer’s second card is revealed, the hand will be settled by immediately collecting the entire wager if the dealer has Blackjack or collecting one-half of the wager and returning one-half of the wager to the player if the dealer does not have Blackjack.
(b) If the player has made an Insurance Wager and then elects to surrender, each wager will be settled separately in accordance with subsection (a) and in accordance with § 549.10 (relating to Insurance Wager).

The electronic machines have 6 decks and a visible discard tray. A 15-90 spread and wonging out of <-1 counts doesn't seem to draw heat. I stopped playing rated there so all those computers can figure out is that someone is counting at seat X at table Y, I don't want them to track that I'm playing several times a week for hours each time and rarely losing, because I'm sure if they see that over 2 months I played 10-15 hours a week and didn't lose as expected, I would be kicked out, especially if the software reports that my betting is highly correlated with the count. It's impossible to rathole. On the covered shoe games, I use a running count system and rathole. I only play those when they close the electronic games for the night and drop the limit to $10 at 4 AM.

I haven't been to Parx since I came back from Vegas last Wednesday, but I will continue to hit them hard. But with the opening of Sugar House, I might split my time between the two places now.

One thing different I noticed between Parx and AC and many Vegas casinos, the ploppies in Vegas aren't the degenerate gambler type I see all the time in Parx, even overnight. At Parx and AC, I sometimes see the same ploppies on different days, flat betting the minimum. It's kind of sad to hear them say that they're trying to win the rent money by gambling, but it's obvious that they won't win because they're flat betting or using a progression not based on the count. But ploppies like that keep the casino in business so that I can continue to win there.

Without comps you likely won't be covering your expenses on those games playing like that. I haven't seen the computer setup but Im thinking dealer errors are not possible and your still playing neutral and negative counts with a tiny spread in a shoe game... You should probably be posting less and reading more.

Well, 1-6 with wongouts will get an edge. But, not enough of an edge.

And if they're covering the discard tray, you can use an unbalanced count with no trouble.
