What's the best spread for me?

Rules: 6d, h17, das, da2, surrender at $10 min only otherwise table min is $5; I play hi lo with a $10,000 BR -- I play BS with I18 modified for h17 games.

I was originally going to play a 1-12 spread of $5 units, but I was wondering if I would get a better EV from playing a 1-4, 1-5, or 1-6 spread with $25 units at a $5 table. So I could min bet $5, then when the count went up I could jump up to betting $25 units.

And let me know if there is a different spread from what is mentioned here that would give me a better EV.

I agree and I would also learn the surrender indices.

Geez, those were some answers for the OP's question.

OP, I'll get back to you.

What's da2?

What strategy is BS with I18? Do you mean HI-lo w/I18 and Fab4?

BJC

EDIT:
Attached is the sim, Basic Hilo with I18 and Fab 4.
4.5/6d, DAS, LS, RSA 1x, RS4x,
Notice the N0 for a 1-8 spread, you'll be playing for 8 years before you reach the long run.
I set up a $5.00 min ( disregarding your $10min for surrender)- $150 max (1-30 spread) With a little camo you should be able to spread easily 1-30.
At $10 min your RoR goes to 13.3% at 1-8 spread. and 8.3% at the 1-30 spread starting with a $10min and running the same ramp.

Very good point! So many posters leave all the details out on a regular basis I just enter a standard pen to save time going back and forth in the posts.
If you noticed in my reply I told him what I used in the sim.

Edit: and I admittingly state, I am not a math guy nor a professional player, but I gave a logical and purposeful response.

ZG, love the picture!

You got that right. Finally a guy who mentions rules, roll, counting system use of indexes and a spread. Let's slam him for not mentioning pen.

Good for you. You made an assumption. You generated a sim. Did anybody else?

Now the OP might even be wondering about risk in conjunction with EV.

Maybe about a $5 unit with no LS since it's not allowed.

Maybe realize he asked so many questions it might take more than 1 sim to answer them all.

Anyway, what I really wondered is what does that "1" mean in the box after back-counting when the "back-counting" box itself is not checked?

I'm sort of hoping it means nothing lol.

1 to 100 if you want to make any money otherwise get a job as a delivery boy for your local pizza joint! :):):):):)

InPlay, don't spam two posts on my thread. I'm just looking for some advice, I don't need your nonsense.

Pizza does sound good though.
