Got a favorite cover play? Go ahead tell us what it is, and why?

As for me its hitting A7vsX. I think pit bosses are aware that counters stay on A7, therefore I hit it(reverse psychology)...lol

Whats yours? Hands or Bets?

Exactly. Thats the beauty of it. I think in this day and age, dealers and casino employees alike, are getting smart enough to realize that counters stand on A7vsX. I believe by standing on this hand, in reality, could actually be a dead give away. Make any sense?

Yes, I understand completely! Have you ever tried the cover play where you split 9's?

Well, to mix it up, I don't split vs a 7, just to look like a ploppy.

... Actually, doubling down a 10v10 in a non-high count can be good, because the act of splitting or doubling demands attention. The variance on this partciular play is kind of a bitch, though.

And I just can't bring myself to stand with A,7v10. It's too painful.

No it makes no sense at all. Ploppies stand on this hand because they love 18's. Basic strategy calls for you to hit this hand so why would it attract attention? For this reason the casino won't care either way how you play this hand!

Not sure? Depends what your refering to. I remember there was some jazz about splittings 99s as cover, a few months ago. Dont remember. Please explain.

I still like the one, about Doubling for less(1$), on H14 vs X with a MaxBet, when the Index is equalivent to the same TC Index for standing on 15 vs X. I LOVE THIS ONE........lol. :juggle:

My favorite cover play: Get up and walk away. It doesn’t cost you anything and you can usually come back a little while later.

My only cover play is if the count gets very high at the end of a DD shoe,I place a very large bet, almost an "all-in".If i win and the count justifies,I'll let it ride. Win or lose,I leave the next hand.

you know, that would be relatively less expensive in a 6d/8d game, since there would be less shuffling.

cover play

My favorite cover play is having a minimum bet out and doubling down on hard 12 vs a "bust" card.

or doubling down for $1 on a stiff vs a high card

I don't play multi-deck shoe games. Only SD or DD. Except for a single four deck game a member here turned me on to.

i gotta say that i was fantasising about doubling for a dollar as a cover play when there was no probibility that you would draw addittional cards and basic strategy didnt already ask for a double, i couldnt think of any plays though, but i think this is it i am totally goign to do this next time. The best opportunity i saw was doubling hard 8 vs4-6

I really dont use any cover plays i just use the word "Yo" very liberally when i play and look liek the dumbest wigger you have evr seen in your life, i even own some authentic wigger attire.

Favorite cover!

My favorite cover play is varing my bet on the opening hand or the first hand after a shuffle! If I was looking for a card counter the first person I would target is a person who always bets the same amount of the top and changes on the second shuffle! So my first bet will be completely random but I will be better off on the second round if I bet high the count stays high I will bet the same amount if it tanks I will pull back. If I bet low and the count goes high I will parlay on the second hand if it stays the same or goes negative I will bet the same amount. If I bet average I will move my money with the count on the second hand!

Is it politically correct to use the W word?
