Where can I find a dealing shoe

#1
Does anyone know where I can find a dealing shoe around my area. I've tried K-Mart and they didn't have any, I'm staying away from buying stuff online at the moment. I live in Cranston, Rhode Island Area Code: 02910 and I am trying to find a nearby store in where I can find a dealing shoe to practice counting at home? Are there any stores nearby that one of you guys can find or know about that sells gambling supplies? If so it would be great help, and also how much. I've been looking at amazon and it's about ~25 bucks for a 6 deck shoe; then I look at other sites and the price can go up to around 50 bucks. It completely puzzles me, that's why I want to stay away from online products.

Try Gambler General Store in Las Vegas. If you don't want to order online you can call the order in by phone.

Just bite the bullet and buy one online. I did, and to this date there are no unauthorized charges on my credit card.
Thanks for the info; I think I may just go to CVS, buy a prepaid credit card and buy it then. The thing is, it puzzles me how the same piece of plastic is going for 20 bucks on one site and 60 on another.

i bought one at an Ollie's(a discount chain we have in this area, kind of like a big lots). It is a 4 decker and was like 5 bucks. came with crappy cards but i tossed those in favor of some casino decks that i had picked up.

Why would you buy a prepaid credit card? I imagine there is a fee involved.

Do you not have a real credit card? Most all banks offer check cards that use the Visa network to debit money directly from your account.

I don't know why there's aversion to a real credit card. They're even safer than check cards, and there is ZERO risk of financial loss to you, even if the number is stolen (extremely unlikely). Seems paranoid to me.

amazon

I bought a 6 deck shoe and a large felt layout (bj one side, hold'em the other) from amazon and I'm very happy with my purchase. Never have a problem buying from amazon-in fact delivery is alway quicker than they estimate! Sorry, don't remember what I paid-but the price was o.k.

Check cards are just as safe as real credit cards, since they're over the Visa or MC networks they also carry "zero liability" against fraudulant purchases.

Granted, if you do have fraudulant purchases, a bigger pain in the ass you'll never have.

This might be technically true (at least for some cards), but it's far easier to dispute a charge you haven't paid for yet, than trying to get your $$ back after it's been instantly deducted.

Yep . Been there, done that with both a credit and debit card. Although technicly the one on my debit card was a prossesesing error, it took three phone calls to finaly get it straighted out.

Well honestly, I'm not old enough for a real credit card. I'm just starting early to get a head start when I'm old enough to gamble, or not gamble, invest.

If you aren't old enough for a real credit card, you certainly aren't old enough to be wasting your time worrying about blackjack. Build a solid career first.

Why? What's so great about a career?

I say go for it Lerf if that is where your passion lies. Maybe ask for a shoe as a Xmas or birthday gift or get some adult to order it for you. Read a bunch of books, get some friends interested. Hell, make money dealing blackjack at frat parties.
