Where to play in Vegas,mid-week

You're in the right spot! Downtown is a good place to be for red action. Here are a few suggestions: Vegas Club, Plaza, Horseshoe, El Cortez. With a 1:5 spread you will want to Wong out at least twice an hour. The more the better since most of those casinos are DD games which require a bigger spread. If you can leave around -2 or -3 you should have a decent win rate.
You might also want to check out Fitzgerald’s and Fremont on your way between those casinos. Sometimes you can Wong in on a DD game on your way through. Their games have pretty bad pen and are barely worth playing even with aggressive backcounting, but it doesn't hurt to do a little trolling. Also, the California can be a good place to find sloppy dealers if you don’t feel like walking all the way to the El Cortez or Western.
Since you have a car you can also check out Boulder Highway. There are several decent places there as well.

Before I knew anything about blackjack my friends kept trying to get me to play blackjack. I was scared of playing blackjack because it seemed like there was too much "guessing" involved. I wanted to play the game with my friends so I decided to learn BS. Then I realized, why even play the game with only BS?
Too many people gamble. Even people that are really smart gamble. Gambling seems to just destroy people's common sense. When people are down money they keep playing trying to recover their losses even when they know they shouldn't. And casinos thrive on this. That is why I am learning to count, to take the casinos money.
Another thing that really bothers me with casinos is that they never tell someone to leave because they have a gambling problem or have lost too much, but they will ban you in a heartbeat if you win a little money from them.
I don't know if I should have posted this here or start a new thread, becuase it is a little off of the original topic.

For those people who take gambling too far then BS or even knowing how to count really isn't going to help them. They need to stop.

So in this case McDonald's is indeed turning the fat person away.

I'm just guessing Gregory, but I would think that the humanitarian effort of Missouri when it imposed the $500 loss maximum (in a 2-hour time span and then wait another 2 hours before buying in again for another $500 max) was a concession Missouri made to the moralists in order to get the laws altered to allow gambling in that State. Everyone wanted the money the State could rake in taxes, but Missouri is in the Bible Belt and had to have some restriction to appease their perceived sense of morality!

So you're saying it's not the casinos fault for taking money from gamling addicts because it's not the casinos fault the person has the problem? I've never heard the casinos claim that everyone wins. It is called good advertising. It is not a false mind frame that they have a chance to win. Everyone has a chance. The house just has a better chance of winning.ScottH said:

Even IF I did agree with what you are saying. At what point does the casino stop someones play? If I come to the casino and lose $500 everyday does that mean i am a addict? What if im worth 20million? $500 is pocket change to me. Or the single mom who loses her $60 a week in child support at the casino. Kids cant eat... Is she a addict? Apparently you would be in favor of the casino keeping strict financial records of each customer so they can be cut off when they lost too much, Or are deemed a "addict". Whats the answer Scott? I do agree that it is the person's own responsibility to control their gambling, but casinos are partially at fault just for existing. The problem I have is that they arent trying to peform a service by giving us entertainment, they are only in the business of taking people's hard earned money.
And if it's perfectly fine for casinos to take a gambler's money, why do they have such a problem with advantage players? Advantage players take MUCH less back than the casinos take from the addicts. But the casino decided it's ok to continue to let the addicts play while the advantage players are banned.

Well, they have plenty of methods of determining winning players, would it be so hard for them to find the addicts?
So if the casinos really think they are providing us with entertainment, then they are saying we are losing money, BUT we are having fun. But when someone consistently WINS, it's a different story.
thanks.I know about 98% of BS. I'm playing on the hit or stand site and getting 95-98 correct every time.I have some trouble with when to split ,but will keep at it.Are there any DD games where the cards are dealt face up?
Btw-since this thread has gotten off topic,I read today that the casinos in Pennsylvania may be sending out monthly won-loss statements to their players. Trump has signed on for the idea if they are done quarterly.

I know of one casino in Vegas that deals its two deck game like a shoe. There might be more.
Its not very hard though to count the cards if its a pitch game. I was worried it was going to be tough before my trip but found it just as easy as counting a shoe game.

I've been playing in AC for about two years,and two trips to Vegas.Most of that time,I'd bet a unit and if I won I'd up my bet to 1 1/2 units.Or bet 2 units and if I lost drop to 1 unit. Neither was terribly succesful,although I did have a few very good days.Once turned $200 into $600 but mostly turned $200 into zero or maybe $100.I've read books by Jerry Patterson,Angie Marshall and a few others. Am currently reading both Beat the Dealer and Blackjack bluebook.
I'm working on counting and can countdown two decks in about a minute and be able to tell the last two cards about 80% of the time.I enjoy playing and if I can mostly break even and maybe get a few comps out of an afternoon,thats great.
My biggest dislike is that in Ac,everyone tells you how to play,but most of them know less BS than I do.
Any and all advice is most appreciated.
