The best 3 games in Reno are Fitzgerald, Siena, and Boomtown. The Fitzgerald has the best rules in town you can double on any two cards, split any pair aces only once everyother pair 4 times, 6 cards without busting is an automatic winner, 3 to 2 on blackjack, dealer hits soft 17, no das. House edge under .25%! The rules for the Siena and Boomtown are the same double any first two cards, no das, split any pair, 3 to 2 on blackjacks, dealer hits soft 17 for a relistic house edge of .30%.

I have never played in vegas so I need help with the best vegas games.

Sparks anyone?

Let's not forget about Sparks(East Reno) here, guys. Alamo is owned by J-3 Corp which owns Fitz's, DOA,LS. Same DOA rules at Rail City, Silver Club and some of Ascuaga's tables... not too shabby.

In Vegas, Cortez, Western, and Four Queens are all H17 DOA, no surrender. Rules-wise, this would rank them with the better, but not the best, Reno stores. I think a few Carson City, Laughlin, etc joints have similar rules.

Anyone been to Mesquite?

Four Queens uses a cut card though, which is supposed to be extra-crappy for players.

So I vote Wendover as well.

Last time I was in Mesquite, there was one SD table left and it was H17 DOA DAS.

No for SD you want Reno/Sparks, Wendover/Jackpot, and maybe the odd game in Tunica. The reason is you have to move around a lot to survive the heat, and when there's only 1-2 tables available in the town you can't make a trip of it.

The best SD games are not always the ones with the best rules. Fitz in Reno with great rules, but has crappy pen is a weaker game than the majority of casinos in the Reno area.

Wendover would be my first choice to travel for SD if I already lived in the Reno area. If you drive to Wendover you could also stop in Jackpot it is not far out of the way. If you want to play SD in southern Nevada, Laughlin would be a better choice than Las Vegas.
