I see.

Yes I am familiar with different spreads and ramps for different games.

I use the wager I place at .5% advantage as my unit. That is the great equalizer with different spreads, ramps and max bets.
This also makes my minimum wages a fraction of what I refer to as unit.

Lots of different definitions of unit, which is why I asked for clarification.

I like your approach. It does a better job of normalizing the different betting styles, especially when your max bet is limited in certain casinos. Most of the games I play are binary "bet or don't bet" situations so the unit size is pretty obvious.

I can't take credit for it as it is what I refer to as the Munchkin/bigplayer definition of unit.

All I know is if I were to use minimum wager as unit...a lot of times I would have a unit of Zero. Lol. THAT certainly doesn't work.

But just think about how big your win rate would be if your unit size was your smallest bet! Using units instead of dollars can make for much better stories. For example:

At an off-strip casino I once spread from the table min to 2x table max with no heat.
At a downtown casino my partner and I were betting the table max for an entire shift.
At another downtown casino I was spreading 1:40 on a SD game.

Pretty cool stuff, right. Sounds a lot better than:

At the auto/truck plaza I spread $3 - 2x $30. Remember when they had live BJ?
At Fitzgerald's the table max for 3CP was $25.
I spread $1-$40 at the Western.

Not really stuff someone would brag about, huh?
