New Hampshire runs online sports betting through a single operator, DraftKings, and its casino floors are charitable gaming rooms, but it has no legal online casino and no state income tax to worry about on winnings. Real-money online casino play from New Hampshire happens at offshore sites. We checked which ones accept New Hampshire and ranked the best.
Facts checked against New Hampshire law and casino terms: 24 Luglio 2026
One sportsbook, casinos run for charity, and no online slots.
New Hampshire does gambling its own way. Its online sports betting runs through a single operator, DraftKings, which struck a revenue-share deal with the state lottery for an exclusive contract, so there is no FanDuel or BetMGM here, just the one app. And its casinos are not commercial casinos at all: they operate under charitable-gaming law, offering blackjack, roulette and poker with 35% of the take going to New Hampshire nonprofits. Since 2021 they have added machines that look and feel like slots, called historical horse racing terminals.
What none of that includes is a legal online casino. The lottery runs sports betting and online lottery games but no internet slots or blackjack, and a 2025 bill to license iGaming was tabled in committee. So the DraftKings app has no casino tab in New Hampshire, and the charitable rooms are floor-only.
So a New Hampshirite who wants to play real-money online slots or blackjack has no legal in-state way to do it. The offshore casinos below are what fills that gap.

Best online casinos that accept New Hampshire players
Ranked by our review scores. The green line under each casino is our eligibility check: the date we read that casino’s own terms and confirmed New Hampshire players are welcome. One casino is still waiting on its check, so its card makes no claim yet.

Terms name no US states; New Hampshire not excluded · checked 22 Lug 2026
New Hampshire does not license online casinos, so there is no state-approved casino app to recommend. The casinos above are offshore: they run from outside the US, mostly under Curacao or Panama licenses, and they take New Hampshire players because no New Hampshire law reaches them.
The trade-off is real and worth stating. If an offshore casino treats you badly, no US regulator will step in for you. The operator’s own record is your protection, which is why payout history and dispute handling weigh so heavily in our reviews, and why we run a complaints desk on every review page and take unresolved cases up with the casino ourselves.
New Hampshire’s field is one shorter than most states because Bovada, our usual top US pick, lists New Hampshire on its own restricted-states page and will not open an account for a player here. That is why the top pick on this page is Ignition instead. The two are close cousins on banking and payouts, and Ignition adds a strong poker room, so it is a natural fit when Bovada is out. For the wider picture of who licenses these sites, read our guida ai casinò offshore.
How we check these casinos for New Hampshire
Every offshore casino publishes a list of US states it refuses, and no two match. Bovada blocks twenty states including this one; BetOnline blocks exactly one; Red Dog only Kansas and Michigan. So we check each casino against its own terms:
Leggiamo i termini. We open each casino’s current terms and conditions, find its restricted-states list, and check whether New Hampshire is on it. Bovada lists it, which is why it does not appear above.
A casino with no completed check carries no eligibility line. Right now that is VipSlots: still ranked on review strength, but making no New Hampshire promise until we have read its terms.
Gambling law in New Hampshire: what is actually legal
New Hampshire allows a lottery, single-operator sports betting, charitable casino gaming and fantasy sports. Online casino play is the one thing it stops short of.
Settore
Stato
I fatti
Casinò online
Illegale
No legal online casino. A 2025 bill to license iGaming through the Lottery (SB 168) was recommended for passage by committee but tabled in the Senate Ways and Means Committee in March 2025, and it went no further. There is no online casino.
Casinò terrestri
Legale
Legal, but under charitable-gaming law rather than commercial casino law, a New Hampshire quirk. Licensed gaming rooms offer table games such as blackjack, roulette and poker, plus historical horse racing machines (legalized in 2021) and, after the 2025 state budget, video lottery terminals. Operators must give 35% of gaming revenue to New Hampshire nonprofits; the sector is regulated by the Lottery Commission's charitable gaming division.
Scommesse sportive
Legale
Legal online since 30 December 2019 through the New Hampshire Lottery, which awarded a single-operator contract to DraftKings; DraftKings is the only legal online and retail sportsbook in the state.
Lotteria
Legale
The New Hampshire Lottery, launched in 1964, was the first modern state lottery in the country, and it has offered online iLottery games since 2018.
Fantasy sport giornalieri
Legale
Daily fantasy sports are legal and registered with the state under RSA 287-H (2017).
Casinò sweepstakes
Zona grigia
No New Hampshire statute bans the dual-currency sweepstakes model, and there is no named state enforcement action against the category as of mid-2026, so it sits in a gray area.
Bingo e lotterie benefiche
Legale
Charitable gaming is the backbone of the state's casino sector: licensed games of chance run for the benefit of New Hampshire nonprofits under RSA 287-D.
Will you get in trouble for playing online from New Hampshire?
Under RSA 647:2 gambling as a player is a violation, the lowest tier of offense (a fine, not a crime), and the statute carves out charitable gaming, licensed sports wagering and small private poker games. Making gambling a business under RSA 647:2 is a misdemeanor, and the state can move to shut an operation down by injunction and forfeit its equipment. Enforcement runs through the Lottery Commission's charitable gaming division and the Attorney General, aimed at operations rather than individual players; New Hampshire may enjoin an unlawful gambling business through the courts. There is no record of the state prosecuting a person for playing at an offshore online casino. Federal law is aimed the same way, since the UIGEA targets gambling businesses and payment processors, not players.
New Hampshire has a long gambling history for a small state: it ran the country’s first modern lottery and has kept a monopoly-and-charity model ever since.
1964
New Hampshire launches the first modern state lottery in the United States, setting the template other states would follow for decades.
2019
The state legalizes online sports betting and hands a single-operator contract to DraftKings, which offered to share revenue in exchange for the monopoly. Betting goes live at the end of the year.
2021
Historical horse racing machines are legalized at the charitable gaming rooms, adding slot-style play to the state’s growing casino floors.
2025
An online-casino bill (SB 168) is recommended by committee but then tabled, so iGaming stays off the table, while the state budget adds video lottery terminals to the charitable rooms and lifts bet limits. iGaming tabled
Taxes on winnings in New Hampshire
This is the rare good-news tax section. New Hampshire has never taxed wages, and the one income tax it did have, on interest and dividends, was repealed effective 1 January 2025 (New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration). The upshot for a player: New Hampshire imposes no state income tax on gambling winnings at all. There is no state layer to worry about here, only the federal one.
Federal tax still applies. The IRS treats every dollar of gambling winnings as taxable income whether or not a W-2G is issued (IRS Topic 419), and offshore casinos issue none, so the record is yours to keep. On losses, federal law tightened in 2026: under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, only 90% of gambling losses are deductible federally, capped at your winnings. Break even over a year and you can still owe federal tax on the slice the new rule no longer lets you deduct.
The takeaway: keep session records for the federal side. Dates, deposits, withdrawals, results. New Hampshire will not ask, but the IRS can.
Getting money in and out from New Hampshire
No New Hampshire law stops a deposit. The friction is your bank: an issuing bank can decline a gambling charge, which is routine and not a legal problem. Visa clears more often than Mastercard, and several of these casinos add 5 to 15% fees on card deposits. Cards also cannot receive a withdrawal.
Crypto is what these casinos are built around, and the only method good in both directions. Bitcoin deposits are free at most of them, and payouts run in minutes to hours: about 2 to 6 hours at Ignition once approved, within a day at Cafe Casino, a little longer at Vegas Casino Online.
New Hampshire online casino FAQ
Why is DraftKings the only sportsbook in New Hampshire?
Because the state lottery awarded a single-operator contract to DraftKings in 2019 in exchange for a large share of the revenue. No other online sportsbook can operate here, and there is no online casino version of any of it.
Are New Hampshire’s casinos real casinos?
They run under charitable-gaming law rather than commercial casino law. They offer blackjack, roulette, poker and, since 2021, slot-style historical horse racing machines, but operators must give 35% of the take to New Hampshire nonprofits. There is no online version of them.
Why is Bovada not on your New Hampshire list?
Bovada lists New Hampshire on its published restricted-states page, so it will not open an account for a player here. That is why our top pick on this page is Ignition, its close cousin on banking and payouts, instead.
Do I owe taxes on offshore casino winnings in New Hampshire?
Only federal tax. New Hampshire has no state income tax on wages, and it repealed its interest-and-dividends tax effective 2025, so there is no state tax on your winnings. Federal tax still applies, and from 2026 only 90% of gambling losses are deductible federally. Details in the taxes section above.
What is the minimum gambling age for New Hampshire players at offshore casinos?
18 at most offshore casinos, though a few require 21. New Hampshire’s lottery and sports betting are 18, and its charitable gaming rooms are 18. Each casino’s terms state its own minimum, so check before you deposit.
