Casino Action is one of the long-running names in online gambling, part of the Casino Rewards group and trading since 2008. It is a Microgaming and Games Global casino in the classic mould: a download-and-instant-play client, a loyalty programme that spans a stable of sister sites, and a front page built almost entirely around a large, staged welcome package. It prices in Canadian dollars, euros, pounds and New Zealand dollars, and its calling card is jackpots, with the network progressives that Microgaming built its reputation on sitting front and centre. If you want an established, jackpot-heavy casino from a group with a long track record, Casino Action makes an easy first case.
The trade-offs are the ones that come with a classic download casino: a game library tied to a single software family with no provider filter, withdrawal fees on some methods, and bonus terms built around very high playthrough. The sections above already list the banking methods, the current offers and the software on record; this review adds the judgment around them, and it is honest about who the site suits and who should look elsewhere.
Casino Action wears its heritage on its sleeve. The front page is a black-and-gold marketing splash built around a single message, a $1,250 welcome package, with a comic-book cast of characters splashed across slot reels and one big red button pointing you to the download. The navigation is deliberately minimal: Home, Signup Bonus, Casino Games, Winners List, Contact Us and Play Now, and that is more or less the whole site. This is a landing page in the truest sense; the actual games live in the downloadable client or the instant-play window you reach after registering, rather than in a browse-first web lobby. It is dated next to the slick single-page apps elsewhere in this batch, but it is also clear and uncluttered, and it knows exactly what it is selling.
Behind the landing page sits a Microgaming and Games Global library, and that shapes everything. The catalogue is the Games Global studio family, listed in the sections above, which means polished, long-established slots and, crucially, the progressive-jackpot network that made Microgaming famous, headlined by the Mega Moolah family and its regular seven-figure payouts. That is the real draw here: if you are chasing a life-changing jackpot rather than the newest high-volatility mechanic, this is a natural home. The recorded flip side is that there is no software-provider filter, because there is effectively only one provider family to filter, so the browsing experience is narrower than a multi-studio site.
Table-game players are served too. Alongside the Games Global blackjack and roulette variants for cash play, Casino Action carries live-dealer tables, and our For Blackjack Players panel above grades the blackjack tables on record here and returns the correct basic strategy for the exact rules in play. As with most casinos of this vintage the slots and jackpots lead the marketing, but the tables are present and gradeable.
The headline is a $1,250 package, but it is important to read how it is built: it is spread across your first five deposits as separate match bonuses rather than one lump, so you only reach the full figure by depositing five times. The exact amounts are in the bonus section above. The part that matters most is the playthrough, and here Casino Action is demanding: under its rules the first and second deposit bonuses carry a 200 times play-through before the bonus converts to cash, dropping to 30 times from the third deposit onward. A single bet of 25% or more of the bonus while wagering is treated as irregular play and can cost you the winnings.
For blackjack players the game weighting is the decisive fact. Casino Action’s rules set contribution like this:
The banking section above lists every supported method, and Casino Action supports a lot of them, which our data records as a genuine positive. The judgment worth adding is on the cost of taking money out, because this is where the recorded “fees on some withdrawals” caveat bites. Under the rules, direct bank-transfer withdrawals carry a flat fee, around $50 on smaller cash-outs and $100 on larger ones, plus a currency-conversion charge of about 2.5% when your balance is converted. Those fees are avoidable if you cash out with an e-wallet instead, so the practical advice is to set up a method such as Skrill или Neteller for withdrawals rather than defaulting to a bank transfer. Our data also notes that not every payment method is available in every country, so check what is on offer for your location before you plan around a specific one.
We hold no verified figure for Casino Action’s withdrawal processing speed, so we will not put a number on it, and note that players who win far more than they have deposited are held to a $4,000 per-week payout across the group’s casinos, so a very large win is drawn down over time rather than paid in one go.
Casino Action belongs to the Casino Rewards group, and according to the operator’s own current terms it is licensed and regulated by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission (licence 00972, operator Fresh Horizons Limited). Kahnawake is a long-standing offshore regulator, and combined with a 2008 launch and a group with a genuinely long track record, that gives Casino Action more history than most sites in this batch. It is still an offshore licence rather than a top-tier permit from the Malta Gaming Authority or the UK Gambling Commission, so player protections and independent dispute escalation are lighter than at a Malta- or UK-licensed site. The sensible posture is the usual one: keep deposits inside a budget you have set, verify your account early, and read the bonus terms in full before opting in. Support is 24/7 live chat.
There is no need to hunt for an app; Casino Action runs its instant-play games in a mobile browser, and the marketing pages carry across cleanly to a phone with the navigation collapsed to a menu and the search and account controls within reach. The experience is lightweight rather than lavish, which suits the download-casino heritage: it loads quickly and puts the welcome offer and the games a tap away.
Casino Action is a proper classic, and for the right player that is a compliment. It is an established, Microgaming and Games Global casino from a group with a long history, its progressive-jackpot network is the real thing, it supports a wide range of currencies and payment methods, and 24/7 chat is on hand. For a jackpot hunter in Canada, Europe or New Zealand who withdraws with an e-wallet, it is a straightforward, dependable place to chase a big win.
The reservations are the ones its own rules and our data point to. The Kahnawake licence sits below the tier-one regulators, the welcome package is punishing once you read the 200x playthrough on the first two deposits, some withdrawal methods carry fees, and the single-provider library will feel narrow to anyone used to a multi-studio lobby. For blackjack players the message is blunt: the 2% table weighting makes the bonus a slots-only proposition, so play the tables with cash. Go in with those expectations and Casino Action is a solid, jackpot-led classic. Go in expecting a modern multi-provider library or Malta-grade protections and it will feel its age. As always, only ever wager what you can afford to lose.
