I probably wouldn't care, honestly, assuming I even recognized the name. I've met enough famous / powerful / influential people in real life so that I don't feel any need to feed self-importance or the sycophants that surround them.

If you've won a major prize (Nobel, Priestley, etc.) in chemistry, or if you head any major venture capitalist firms in the biotechnology sector, or you're the head of state of a first-world nation, I'd love to kiss your ass. Apart from that ... meh.

I don't work in the literay field.

I am don't work in the medical field.

That's all the clues I can give you without exposing myself to you.
 
Nor do I; last I was there they had a bunch of H17 $15 tables, and S17 $25 tables, all 6D shoes hand-shuffled. (And a couple of DD's and 6:5SD)

The last time I was there they had $10 tables (H17). This would have been April of last year, though, and I only played at two tables and didn't stay for the shuffle on either one.

I vaguely recall from years past that it was almost all ASM, though. I remember thinking to myself sometime between 2004-2006 during a hand shuffle at the Tropicana, "How quaint! Nobody does this any more!"

With the misspelling and grammar thing, I think I have you made. You are George W Bush... I am not surprised, because when you were Pres, you never said much of value then, either. :cat:

Mr M, in RingyDingy's very recent report on MGM, he mentions critters regularly feeding bets info into pit computers. Maybe that is all for comps calculations. Could there be any other more sinister reasons why they would be so apparently over-interested in seemingly mundane day-to-day stuff?

i'd like to take this a step further from my salubrious Katweezel colleague, its in relation to RFID, one of the big selling points in relation to RFID (aside from the internal accounting issues and employee related issues which are the number #1 rfid selling point btw) is that it accurately tracking of players betting, primarily focussed on giving the accurate level of play, for comps.

Casino insiders will tell you what costs the casino industry more, chumps counting cards, or hosts giving away comps etc when they shouldnt? and not targeting the right people. the marketing heads here will know more about this than i do, however all the anecdotal evidence suggest the fact it can be used to track betting ramps which suggest card counters to me is minor at best.

After all how many of us have sat down and seen ploppies spread crazy stupid amounts on hunches etc? imagine if the bet tracking software put in an alert for all these times? unless they had good well thought out algorithmic pattern sensing to match that of which counters used.

anyways this is probably warranting of its own thread.

Am I crazy or is there also a way for the track to be counted automatically from the pit or eye in the sky using some sort of RFID technology. Obviously something would have to be in the cards and then read as it comes out of the shoe, or the camera could pick it up if it's in the right spot. But if the count was automatically counted, and they also used RFID to track your bets with computers...it would only be a small step for a programmer to compare these two pieces of information to find out who is counting. There would be some sort of correlation between bet size and count, then if it's above a certain statistical point, the person counting would be tagged and removed.
