lol, thinking about grinding away at the micro stakes on Bodog (anyone know of any better for US players?) until I can get enough for a few buy ins at a local live table, then see where that goes.

I'm in the Northern CA area. Thunder Valley has a really good pen, 2D game..but the limit is $25 min.. :( and its double on 9-11 Only. Seems as it's probably one of the only playable games in the area. All the 6Deckers have bad pen and/or 6:5. Anyone that frequents the area have any suggestions?

Is this game beatable with any sort of modest spread? 6D, H17, DAS, DOA, no resplit aces, 1 card each on split aces, $10 min, 4/6 Decks dealt (rough estimate)

Do you guys split 10s when the count calls for it? I've read that a lot of people don't because of the obvious heat this could/would generate. So wanted to hear your guys' take. and what about taking even money on a blackjack with a dealer A up when the count is high?

well i wasn't specifically talking about 8,8 v 10, i just used it as an example. 12 v 2 (6,6 v 2) could be another one. i had just always pictured the I18 as hard, non-paired hands and it just dawned on me a few days ago that there's a few hands that could swing either way in the I18 and...

Is the I18 referencing non-pair hands only? For instance, 16 v 10 = 0 for index, but it doesn't specify hand composition, which could be a pair of 8s or a 10-6. Thanks

wait hold on..it doesnt really matter for my point of understanding, i think So if we're dividing by half decks remain..then we just multiply our product by 2 to get the TC i would use for an index play, right? IE: Ins = 3 RC=15 whole decks remaining = 3 TC = 5 INS = YES RC = 15...

sorry in advance for the stupid question.. so was the Illustrious 18 developed using whole deck or half deck estimates?

Do you round the TC up or down? IE: RC=14 Decks Left=3 TC=4.666 Playing conservatively you would probably round down or truncate it, right? or should you be more aggressive and round up?

So would yous guys say that learning the I18 is generally sufficient enough even for a pro? as it represents...80+% of all gain?
