Zen, Canfield Master or HOII all work well (based on sims) with little difference between them depending on pen and spread. Take your pick and stick with it.

Rather than raising your bet spread, try finding a better game. DD with decent rules and pen will do. I think the shoe games are like trading punches with Mahamed Ali. If you raise your spread to 20:1 you'll be on a bigger roller coaster.

Perhaps he had a financial nut to crack. Once he covered his nut, he walked. I've seen it happen in the commodity market where a client bets large for a quick hit due to a financial deadline.

A little off topic, but whats up with the casinos allowing seats to sit empty forever awaiting the return of some lost gambler that never returns? This just doesn't make good business sense for the casino. Anyone have a clue why they permit to a fault?

Automatic Monkey Have been playing around with this count you suggested a while back, with a slight twist. A= -1, 2 = +1. I'm curious to know who originated the main count. Having good results playing DD and with ease of use. It syms out about 15% better than Zen without a side count...

Is the price of gas reducing the frequency of your trips to the casino? It's 200 miles round trip for me and the cost is becoming meaningful.
