Really? To me this is a very surprising "fact"! Not one I expected to hear on this subject.

Was there any one defining historical event or occurrence that compelled the casinos to start introducing the tactics and counter measures we see today? Was it "Beat the Dealer"? MIT teams? Computer age? Corporate take-overs? My father was a serious player in the 70's and 80's and apparently...

My question is: Does this store tolerate winning to that extent, regardless of whether player is AP or not? Any pit eyebrows raised at all?

As already stated, not much you can do besides just tell the player what you prefer. Most players will politely comply. My experience has shown that I am better off with one or two other players at the table, anyway.

I had a dealer call loudly out to the pit once when I doubled down on my A7. Really surprised me that this was considered an unusual play. Not long after, floorman comes over and starts taking interest in me; "What do you do for a living?" "Where are you from?"

Seems to me there is a balancing act here. Bosses could find themselves backing off a potentially good "paying" customer while being agressive in efforts to weed out AP's or counters.

I thought this size of transaction would require the casino to fill out a CTR. Or does it have to be for more than $10 K?

I don't believe this was heat. Don't know about the hole card. When I play heads up, the dealer always shows me the card before putting it in the discard rack.

Nice. Does Winstar, as most Oklahoma casinos, still charge an ante on each hand? If so, that sure takes a bite out. (100 hands x .50= $50.00 per hour!)
