If any, such measures should speed the demise of the casinos that have become a joke. Even looking at other poorly run but relatively better run casinos in other parts of the country, they can learn a few lessons about how better games attract business and profits!

I don't know. A fee of 25 cents for a $2 bet is 12%. Add in the house advantage for whatever lousy rules they impose on this game and you are playing at intial disadvantage of 13-14%.mjbballar23 said:

Here's the full story: Since Jason told 1 side of the story, I will tell the other side. The lowroller fee will be waived when betting $5 or more; thus, wongers and most APs can easily evade that fee. Hey 2 heads are better than 1, right Jason?:grin::laugh:

I hadn't heard that Abenzio. I just passed on what I read. I don't have your sources. If what you say is true, the game still doesn't do much for me. Even if you bet $5 to avoid the ante, the rules will probably be so bad (h17, maybe 6-5) plus the table most likely full and slowed even further by the ante, thus making the game unplayable. Allow me to revise the question. Which will go broke first? The ploppie with a $100 BR playing $2 and an ante or the ploppie playing $10 Bj with the same BR?Automatic Monkey said:
Obviously it's not a game for the BJ Elite, but for a ploppie conventioneer with a limited BR, it might not be a terrible choice. Better than a slot machine, and a few drinks in an hour helps the EV.

Ya gotta take in to consideration how few hands per hour are likely. At a full table (which this is likely to be) you generally get 50ish hands per hour, depending on the dealer. Add in the ant and it slows further. So at $2, even with the ante, how much can ya lose? maybe you could drink your way to positive ev. lolshadroch said:

If the ante doesn't raise with the bets, it seems like the opportunity for a large spread could make this worth it. Even if the table max was only $100. 25 cents would be insignificant with the big bets. The problem here though would be wonging would be hard, as such a table would be perpetually full.
I do think this is a great idea, lower minimums are necessary in the current conditions for the casinos to get players I think. Although I do think a large number of ante free $5 tables would be a better answer.

Like the Monkey just said, that .25 will kill you right from the get-go. Put it into perspective. If your average bet is $25, then that .25 bet adds1.0% to the HA! It would take an average bet of a $120 just to bring that damned little quarter from having the same negative influence on the game as the H/S-17 difference, something that most every shoe player on this site raises hell about. :whip:

This is an easy question to answer.
If I bet $6 at a negative count where the H.A. has swelled to 1% then my e.v. is to lose
SIX CENTS a hand, not TWENTY FIVE CENTS a hand [PLUS the derived negative e.v. on a $2 wager]
Note: If the Count was so negative that the H.A. is worse than 1% I am wonging out
