Anyone use more than one couting system to avoid heat?

Just curious to see if anyone here uses more than one counting system to avoid heat. Just seems that if you're using more than one system your play will not seem consistent and will make you appear more like a ploppy that is playing on instinct.

Why?

I have seen this question elsewhere.

All profitable counts have a strong correlation to advantage, playing decisions, and insurance decisions.

Some are better than others at one or more of these three considerations, but they'll all correlate with one another fairly tightly.

If you were counting halves, I doubt that surveillance would be able to know for sure that you weren't counting K-O or KISS-I over the hour or less they'll take to evaluate you.

Or is there an aspect of this issue I don't understand?

to be honest, this sounds like splitting hairs, and would add an incredible complexity to something already quite challenging for a marginal added cover, at most.

regardless of the variations on index play you use, the only thing that matters is whether or not the Pit identifies you as "counting" or "not counting".

have you ever sat at a table with another AP? you can tell right away when you're in company of another excellent player.

the PB's might not be able to tell however because they're running around putting players on rating and checking in/out cash and not focused on the game, so only obviously "counting" moves will make you stand out.

I dont think even the dealers pay enough attention to the game to be able to pick out differences in your play. i.e. the following thought will never go through their head: " well, this guy showed all the signs of a HiLo counter, but since he didn't make this specific play which is common in HiLo, he must just be a gambler". thats just way too granular IMHO

I agree with all that has been said

Use 1 count and use a little camo with it. Camo can be negative to SCORE but does not have to be negative EV.

I see... the fact that you may use different indices with different counting systems is of no concern to the PBs... all systems should correlate to a large degree with some variations as far as spread and indices. Learning one system is tough enough... being aware of heat and camo strategies should be the priority.. thanks for all your responses!
