Best way to get comps?

How to get more comps!

1. Ask for them, it seams ridiciously simple but it works especially if you are losing. If you go up to the pit boss and say that I just lost $500 on the blackjack tables is there any way that you could give me a $20 comp for the the restaurnt there is a good chance that the pit boss will acomadate you and write you comp slip without taking points off your players card. Doing this does two things for you first it helps to establish you as a loser somebody the casino profits from and second it can get your meal comped.
2. Sign up for a players card many times the will send you valuable coupons I just got a $50 meal voucher from the peppermill so I used it to take my friends out to dinner and we ate for free minus a tip! Plus they also send their valuable coupons such as matchplays, and even coupons for free cash if you redem the coupons in the casino. The whole goal is to get you into the door. The also offer free stays in the coupons. Plus I have racked up hundreds of dollars in comps which I will probably use for food and beverage since I'm local.

You need to show your license in order to geta players card, but you DO NOT need to let them scan it. Thats just the lazy club persons way of entering the data. Tell them you have already been the victim of identity theft and you don't want anyone having all your info in one place.
I think the bottom line is if you want to play in their casino you have to abide by their rules. If they want to scan your DL you can either let them do it or play some place else.

I'll say this again.
I have no idea what the conditions are where you play,so I don't comment on them. You evidently have no idea about American casinos or our privacy laws.Your last statement is so stupid for an American casino that it is laughable.

Thanks Shadroch.
But apart from calling me stupid you have not said what I said is wrong.

I never said you were stupid. I said your statement was. Obviously you are wrong. If you knew the first thing about America or our casinos, you wouldn't say things like if they want to scan your DL,you either let them or play somewhere else.

Excuse me Shadroch. What is the difference in the 2 sentences.
While I don't want to claim to speak for Shadroch, there is a distinction between attacking someone's idea and attacking the person with the idea.

For example, QFIT wrote something the other day that I consider to be ridiculous and yes, perhaps even stupid. But if I called QFIT himself stupid, I'd probably be laughed off this board. And rightfully so.

I realize I might be a bit biased in regards to my kids but my own daughter -- whose IQ tests routinely place her around 135 -- once told me that Bush was a "good president" because he "got us out of a couple of wars." Granted, she was about seven or eight at the time.

Stupid statement. Smart kid.

And if you go around confusing an attack on your ideas with an attack on yourself, personally, you are going to be one miserable human being.

There is still no reason to start attacking someone and writing their comments are stupid especially when they were simply trying to have a mature conversation. Perhaps the person doesn't understand your original explanation so try to explain it to them another way. We don't all learn or understand things the first time or the same way as others. If you start calling people's comments stupid then nobody is going to ask questions on here and some of them are very good questions. Imagine if when you were in school or your kids are in school if they ask the same question 2 or 10times and the teacher started saying they were stupid or what they said was.

In regards to the DL I assume he means you can refuse to have it scanned due to the privacy laws in the country and you shouldn't be punished for your choice since it is law. Though with that said perhaps I am wrong, I am just a Canadian.

If I had never been to Kenya( which I haven't) but persistently kept trying to give advice to Kenyans on Kenyan cooking, which I have never eaten or cooked,at what point would it be polite for someone to point out that the advice is useless and pointless? The first time? The tenth time? Mr T has never played in an American Casino, knows nothing about them, yet continues to tell me that our proven systems can't work, because they don't work where he is.

Shadroch, you are a Frog. You croak too much......croak ....croak....croak....
I have lived in Canada for 13 years and have played in LAS about 5 times and Alantic City 2 times.
It would be nice if you could explain to me why saying if the casino want to scan your DL then you have to accept it or else you can play in some other casinos.

Shadroch, stop being a dickhead. You can have a difference of opinion with someone without calling them stupid.

You think that it would be easy to get a player's card without swiping a license, and Mr. T doesn't. That's it. No need to attack anyone.

Oh boy. Here we go.

This is Shadroch's post in its entirety:

I do not know if -- nor am I taking a position that -- T's statement is stupid or not. I do know that calling an idea stupid and calling the holder of that idea stupid are two entirely different things.

Perhaps you can show that T's statement has merit and therefore Shadroch is wrong. You can even criticize Shadroch for calling an idea stupid (as someone else has). But you can't legitimately criticize him for calling T stupid since he never said anything of the sort.

I consider myself a smart person and I'm absolutely certain that I hold ideas that are spectacularly stupid.

Calling someone's idea so stupid as to be laughable is inappropriate, even if it isn't technically a personal attack. Just say you disagree.

Exactly, we are supposed to be asking questions learning from eachother. It would be a shame to lose someone from the forum who was a counter who wanted to learn because he felt insulted.

Had Mr. T asked if a player is required to let the casino scan their card and Shadroch called the question stupid, I'd be in complete agreement with you.

Unfortunately, Mr. T wasn't asking a question:

...which is a statement of fact.

Exactly. There are no stupid questions, nor stupid questioneers. But there are stupid statements, and that certainly qualifies as one.Or do you believe misinformation such as the casino can ban you for not allowing them to scan your DL should be left unchallenged?
This poster appeared here several months ago with a whacked out story about how you can get a free cruise with minimal play.I asked him about it and he went into great detail about what you got for what amounted to almost no play.Being interested,I called the cruise line and got a completely different story. I called back and spoke to a gambling host and while the information was slightly different that the first person I spoke to,it was still several times more than the poster indicated.More misinformation.
Next,in this very thread, the poster indicates that it is his belief that due to improved card tracking, that casinos won't comp penny slot players. It may be an opinion, but it is wrong. Harrahs Platinum and Diamond Lounges are full of penny slot players.
