Korea games

Anyone have information on current conditions in Korea (Seoul)? Game info, decks, hopeful lack of CSM, the usual, and most importantly how heat is handled with foreigners...

For reference: I took a look, and the 50% penetration made it a nonstarter. However, their 3CP is quite vulnerable.

there are 2 casinos @jeju island which have 6D S17 DAS LS games, penetration is 4.5-4.8/6.

I'd also be worried about currency conversion; if it's not equal both ways it could be quite expensive. I should have checked that while I was there.

Do they have many tables?
What are the table mins/maxes on those games?
no. Just a few tables.
when I Played at one of them last time, no one else played blackjack there, just me. so wonging in is impossible.
one of them: 20k KRW-300k KRW, 2 hands minimum (NO HOLE CARD)
another: 30k KRW-500k KRW (HOLE CARD)
10k KRW=9.55 USD

I had checked currency conversion in Sun Casino, it is not equal both ways, you will lost about 5-10 percent (according to my memory). Blackjack tables@Sun Casino are equipped with CSM, So I just played a few hands and left. Other casino's currency conversion maybe as same as Sun.

Thanks for that info Kentxu,
I am surprised of the higher table min in relation to the low table max.
yes, the bet range is not large in Jeju (compared to Macau 300HKD-10,000HKD).
Generally speaking ,if you want to control ROR in 0.25% with 1-16 bet spread in Jeju, you need 100K USD as bankroll.

upate:
I Played 10 days in Korea few weeks ago.
summary of the table condition as bellow:
Seoul:
7luck casino@ COEX (poor penetration,worthless)
8D Penetration 4.8/8, Peek, S17, LS, DAS, SPL3,RSA
Bet range (KRW):
10K-300K ----> 1 table
30K-500K ---> 1 table
50K--2M ----> 2 table
100K-3M ---> 1 table
200K-5M ---> 1 table
7luck casino@ Hilton Hotel (poor penetration,worthless)
Table rules is as same as 7luck@COEX
bet min is 30K @ COEX.
other casinos @ Seoul&Incheon use CSM.

Jeju Island:
Oriental Casino (poor penetration, worthless)
6D Penetration 3.8/6, ENHC, S17, ES10, DAS,SPL3,RSA ,2 spots minum@ 1 round(you must play 2 hands when heads-up)
discards were stacked horizontally in a special 3-layer discard tray. better to use KO counting system, because it is difficult to estimate remaining deck exactly.
Bet range:
10K-300K --> 1 Table
30K-500K --> 1 Table
MEGALUCK CASINO@ KAL HOTEL
6D Penetration Varies by dealer,3.8-4.8/6 , ENHC,S17,ES10,DAS,SPL3,2 spots minum@ 1 round(you must play 2 hands when heads-up), 3 hands most
Bet range:
20K-300K

Other record:
I Played 5 hours in first 2 days@ Megaluck, won 2.25M KRW, but penetration worsen in third day.
I guessed the dealer knew that I was counting at third day. The dealer and pit boss usually spoke Korean. I didn't understand their speech. But I heard a word "counting" from dealer, I guessed they meant I was counting.:oops:
P.S. the attachment picture is drawing of special discard tray used at Oriental Casino.

I am planning my Korea trip to 7 luck in Jan. as well, thank you for the info sharing :)

Anyone tried KISS III with poor penetration game such as 4.8/8 or 5/8 in Korea?
I am under self training for this now, any ideas?

Don't even bother with such horrible penetration.

If anything, I'd look carefully at the 3CP or other opportunities. The one I saw was quite vulnerable, but that game requires a strong stomach.

The reason I would choose Korea is I am living in Asia, so I can reduce my cost and I know some AP still playing in Korea with positive results :)
7 luck doesn't pay much attention for betting spread(since the pen is low and it's owned by government) , there are pros and cons.
Just not sure how a unbalanced counting method would fit their rules, I will give it a try in Jan.
