You're right, its pretty stupid, now that I think about it. I just looked at a canned sim, using a 1-30 spread on 1 hand olny, and it has a higher win-rate, score and a lower RoR.

It's a little risky, but you can get away with a 1-30 spread (inc 2 hands) with a good act in a big place. I did that all day my last session. (I still lost though. :cry

its very doable depending on your demeanor and act. also, some like to come off the top with a multi-unit bet and cut back if count goes south, you lose the hand, or the count stays neutral. could reduce what your effective spread looks like to the pit.

Interestingly thats not the case. No, it doesnt make much sense, but you can see for yourself, regarding this anamoly. Its Correct! Just define the recomended betting strategy>Set rules>attach complete Zen.

Even though your win-rate, slightly more than doubles, your RoR does not.

Another, advantage is having the ability to control 2 hands at all times, plus this is also assuming a nickel table where double table min is enforced. And most importantly this is a play-all scenario.

There's not much difference; I like to spread to two because I'm greedy with the good cards, and am usually playing with others.

A 1-30 spread would be 1 hand of 1 to 2 hands of 15. Not sure where you get the 18 from, but at that point it doesn't matter much on a max bet (trading more hourly earnings for higher volatility and ROR).

JJ had my suggestion right, one hand of 1 to 2 hands of 15. But: Make sure you use optimal ramps if you want to be comparing strategies by ROR or SCORE. Otherwise by using the same ramp for each spread you will be forcing some of the spread strategies to be over or under betting at some points.
