I am new to this site and I would appreciate any help anyone could give.
When is it a good time to spread to two hands? I have read differing opinions. Although I don't have the book in front of me I seem to remember Snyder saying in blackbelt that it reduces volatility in plus counts and it provides camo. Here's my main game. 2d S17 DAS any two cards 70 to 90% penetration. I spread 1-6 usually with some gambits taking me to 1-8 sometimes. My general bet ladder is 1 unit at neg, 2 at slightly positive, laddering to 6 at about a 2 to 3% true edge.
I was thinking of using a two hand spread as a gambit whether it provided an additional advantage or not as long as it didn't hurt. Here's my plan, instead of betting 4 units on one hand, spread to two hands of two units if the count continues positive I can double my bet with my winnings like the ploppies and achieve a 1-8 spread with what appears to me to be nice camo. If the count goes negative I go back down to one hand.
