I don't have the 5k, but I would really like to meet up with some fellow counters just to observe their game and have them tell me what I can do to improve my own game. I really need to work on my cover. I'm the quiet guy observing all the cards and pushing out big bets at the end of the shoe. I'm trying to get ready for single and double deck, but I worry that the pit crews in Vegas will be a lot more agressive than they are here. I'll be in Vegas the last week of June if I have any BR left by then.

What I would really like to see is ZG at work, the way Barfarkel describes him, involving the pit and joking and carrying on conversations with them while he plays.

Anybody else going to be in Vegas at the end of June?

I may be, i havent tried counting there yet... June is cheap to fly...

Cool, if things work out maybe we can meet up somewhere.
I could be game for that too. Depends if the wife and I can hammer out an agreement regarding our remodeling. It's not really a huge deal since Vegas is only a few hours drive for me. Sure would be fun to descend on a few casinos in the company of some other counters. :D

I use K-O preferred with bet ramping. I usually play red with a spread of 1 to whatever I can get away with. I'm going through blackjack withdrawals since the pit bosses at the local casino started giving me the evil eye a month or so ago. I think they caught on to my gig when I started spreading to 3 hands on high counts. Yeah ... I know ... "Gee, do ya think?"

Counting -BUT- members would become a bit more skilled in locating the infrequent flashers and would know the holecard strategy and increased betting parameters. Also, I have found that the Ace prediction technique on 2D is fairly easy and can be easily learned. Min skill level - HiLo I-18 or equivalent (KO Preferred, R7, etc.) zg
What do you expect the hourly rate for the players to be? I'm assuming you'll be hitting places w/ the lowest casino advantages. Good luck to the team :cool2:

Joint bank basic-economics

Over simplified: If one counter with $5k ($30 topBet) will EV $15/hr, then 5 counters with combined $25k ($150 topBet) will each EV $75/hr and the bank Ev will be $350/hr of combined play = BR doubles in 80 hrs of combined play. zg

well i'll be on a hotshot crew this summer and will make enough money afterward to put up the 5k.. but untill then for 10% i will keep the pit off your back. i could be the loud ass son of a bit..h at a table across the room that the pit keeps warning and watching.. then when the pit boss comes over i will start up a conversation that he cant get out of.

not sure if i could keep the pits attention for any length of time though..

but i could do it cheaply on a .25 cent roulette table or .25 cent craps table.

ZG, is all this for real, or just having some fun ? As newbie who has mastered BS, knows KO, and has counted in a casino environment(very limited) I would be very interested in taking part.

thnx

One never knows with newbies. Some in this thread sound serious. I know and have teamed with Stork before.

Someone should set up a private board somewhere, perhaps Yahoo, and we can start furthering the agenda. zg
