ดับเบิล แอทแทค แบล็คแจ็ค gives you something no ordinary blackjack table does: you see the dealer’s upcard ก่อน you commit your full bet, and you may increase it once you have. That is a genuinely powerful option, and the game charges you for it twice, in ways worth understanding before you sit down.

The game at the top of this page is our own practice table, dealing the full Spanish-deck ruleset on practice credits. It follows the real deal order: the dealer’s upcard comes out ก่อน your cards, and you decide whether to raise on the strength of it alone. Turn on the book coach and it grades the attack decision too, not just how you play the hand afterwards.
How the double attack works
You place your bet, the dealer’s upcard is exposed, and only then do you decide whether to make an additional wager of up to the size of your original bet. Seeing a dealer 6 before you fully commit is exactly the informational edge blackjack normally denies you. Seeing a dealer ace is the other side of it: you can decline, and keep your exposure small on the hands you were going to lose anyway.
What it costs you
The game pays for that option with two rules that most players notice too late:
- The Spanish deck. Every 10-spot card is removed, leaving 48-card decks with jacks, queens and kings still in. Fewer ten-value cards means fewer blackjacks and worse doubles, the same trade สเปน 21 makes.
- Blackjack pays even money. Not 3:2. On an ordinary table this single rule is worth over 2% to the house, and it is the price of admission here.
In exchange, beyond the attack option itself, the game is generous where it can afford to be: surrender is available late in the hand, and the dealer stands on soft 17. Playing the ruleset our table deals, and attacking exactly when our solver says to, we measure the house edge at about 0.66% per unit wagered over four million hands, which is competitive with an ordinary blackjack table. That figure depends entirely on using the attack well: it is not a bonus, it is the main skill the game asks of you.
When to attack
The rule turns out to be simple, because raising just doubles the money on a hand whose expectation is already fixed by the dealer’s upcard. So you attack exactly when that expectation is positive. Solving the game for the Spanish deck gives a clean answer:
| Dealer upcard | A fresh hand is worth | Attack? |
|---|---|---|
| 3, 4, 5, 6 | +2% to +12% | ใช่, and 6 is the best of them |
| 7, 8 | +8.6% and +1.5% | ใช่ |
| 2 | −0.4% | No, but it is close to a coin flip |
| 9, 10, J, Q, K, A | −6.8% to −11.2% | ไม่, and the ace is the worst of all |
That works out to attacking on almost exactly half of all hands. The mistake that costs real money is attacking against a nine, ten or ace because the hand “feels due”; those are the upcards where you want as little money on the table as the rules allow.
Strategy: this is not blackjack basic strategy
Two things make a standard chart wrong here. The missing tens change the correct play on many hands, exactly as they do in Spanish 21, and the attack decision is a whole extra layer no blackjack chart contains. Our เครื่องมือกลยุทธ์ models neither, so rather than publish a chart we solved the game instead: the coach beside the table above works out the correct play for the Spanish deck hand by hand, and grades your attacks against the table in the previous section.
The one piece of general advice that holds: the attack option is not a bonus, it is a bet. Doubling your money against a weak dealer card is the point of the game, and doing it out of habit against a strong one is how the edge gets back to the house.
The Bust It side bet
Most versions offer a Bust It wager on the dealer busting with exactly three cards, with the payout scaling by the bust card. Like nearly all side bets it carries a much higher house edge than the main game, and it is settled by the shuffle rather than by anything you decide. Treat it as entertainment.
Sourcing note: no public provider demo for Double Attack is available, so the rules above describe the standard published ruleset rather than one operator’s version, and they are the rules our own table deals. The house edge and the attack table are ours, computed by solving the game and simulating it rather than taken from a third party. Check the rules panel of any version you play for money, particularly the surrender terms and the Bust It paytable, which vary between operators.
คำถามที่พบบ่อย
What is the double attack option?
After your bet is placed the dealer’s upcard is exposed, and you may then make an additional wager of up to your original bet. It is the informational edge blackjack normally denies you, and using it well is most of the game’s skill.
Does Double Attack pay 3:2 on blackjack?
No, it pays even money. On an ordinary table that rule alone is worth over 2% to the house, and along with the Spanish deck it is how the game pays for the attack option.
Can I use normal blackjack strategy?
No. The 10s are removed from the deck, which changes the correct play on many hands, and the attack decision is an extra layer no blackjack chart contains. The free table on this page solves both for you as you play.
When should I take the double attack?
When the dealer shows 3 through 8. Raising simply doubles the money on a hand whose expectation is already set by the upcard, so you attack exactly when that expectation is positive. Against a 9, ten or ace it is clearly negative, and against a 2 it is close to a coin flip.
Is the Bust It side bet worth playing?
No. Like nearly all side bets it is priced far above the main game and is settled by the shuffle rather than by any decision you make.
