    Argosy/Hollywood Indiana report

the only place worth your time is Grand Vic. Hollywood is often times too busy to find decent conditions and also the rules aren't as good. There is a 60-70% pen DD game, DAS, DOA $25 min. h17 there are tables as low at $5, but are 8 deck, DAS DOA late surrender h17 in high rooler $25...

    Cashing out chips, backed off-ID

Per FEDERAL law, all transactions/series of transactions above $10k must have ID. However, per compliance with gaming regulations, they must start tracking this as low as $3000. It is not to withhold taxes. It really isn't a big deal, and it has nothing to do with the pits. Usually table...

A good way to remember the running count if you're easily distracted

better yet just play with your chips and grab as many as the count is as you play with them so they click.. kind of annoying tho.. but if you're shifting 5 chips at the end of the hand, the count is +5 If the count is neg, put a chip to the side of the stack. But then again, this is OBVIOUS...

    The Next Step

Poker I was a poker player before blackjack. In fact, I started playing blackjack while waiting for a poker table. I remember walking up to the table and asking "is this the game where you count to 21?" Wow. What a road it has been. Anyway, I am much better at blackjack but sometimes the...

Ploppy's getting angry w/ index plays that mess up the "team flow"

I simply say "Blackjack isn't a team sport" and leave it at that. A lot of times the ploppies then start having a discussion amongst themselves about 'us vs them' and let them be distracted by the conversation. I'm generally pretty quiet. My home casino I know most of the staff, and while I'm...

    First back off.

Judging by this story, and having worked in casinos before I can tell you the thing that probably hinted them was your hot shoe, but the icing on the cake was doubling down 3 stiffs. A lot of dealers/pit bosses thing that AP's memorize cards or just plain old know what card is coming next...

anyone success for csm tracking ?

The ONLY time I have had success vs a CSM (of the few times I've actually bothered with them) was at a casino where the dealer didn't reload after every hand.. usually dealt out about two decks before reloading the machine. Because of this, I was able to have *SOME* moderate success... but...

    Dealer Tells

Actually I am able to something similar to this and it does work for me. The dealers I deal with at a 2D pitch game check their cards with a standard mirror mechanism. I have observed different reactions when they have a 10 in the hole vs other cards. That lets me know if I am playing...

Yes. Tried to seek other employment but nothing went anywhere so I'm toughing it out for now....

    Banned

I am banned from I'd say about 50 casinos at this point... I don't mean backed off.. I MEAN BANNED. I've actually gotten letters telling me I am not allowed anywhere on their property.. as it is PRIVATE PROPERTY. Some have told me I will be arrested if I try to enter.. as it is again.. PRIVATE...

    Tough times for LV

Vegas is not losing money solely on the economy... Not too many years ago.. the places you could gamble were few (vegas, Atlantic City, indian reservations) but now all of the states that border Ohio, for example, have gambling now in some way shape or form beyond lottery. so people don't...

    MS & LA gulf coast

I was there a year ago. I'm pretty sure there were shoe games accross the board.. but also some of the best double deck I HAVE EVER SEEN DOA, DAS, 3:2, S17, no surrender watch for heat tho...

    Beaches and blackjack

Beau Rivage will be the biggest and nicest of the group (in my opinion) All the casinos there are basically on the water -- but as far as beaches go I am not certain as the storms changed things around a bit. Please inform me as well. I will be playing there in September.. we have a...

    The big M

Last I was there (Dec 2006) all the blackjack in FL was based upon cruising out into open waters.. having a couple hours to play and cruising back. Conditions were never good - and every ship I played on was 8 deck with auto shuffler.
