Anytime during the summer is good (finishing up my last quarter at college so when that's done I will have a lot of free time)

How big of a bankroll stack would I need to bring if I were to partake? I would love to green chip it up, but I don't think I would be able to bring more than 4 or 5k with me :(
Usually we look for places that have alot of fine games with plenty of low limit, $3 to 5, $10 tables.

Tell you what, you supply a good game at the bash, and I will bring hot young women and excitement, deal? For all the married gents who can't partake, I'll just give ya something to talk about.
Haha.......count me in!:cool2:

So how do you determine this security thing?

Just wondering, would this be a good opportunity to learn some skills?
I don't know how long you have been playing but I see you are new to the site.

If you showed an interest in coming you would be vetted, and it would be the greatest opportunity to learn and have doors opened that most players would ever experience.

It takes place at the monte carlo casino every summer around june. We all book rooms and get a discounted rate when we tell them we're with the card counter's convention. We usually get a conference room reserved and it will be easy to find. just ask the concierge where the Advantage player's conference hall is.

The vetting procedure requires about $1000 as we have to pay for background check. The best way to get it done is to send cash quickly to creeping panther, and he'll let you know if you passed. The acceptance rate is about 82% That's way easier to get into than say, cal state long beach

You guys should stop messing with the dude. $1K for the background check...at least give him the "discount", if you know what I mean

good luck :joker:

I have a "secret" security clearance. I've been told that the cost for that background check can go up to $10,000, but $3000 is more typical. Is that an acceptable substitute or must I undergo your background check as well?

vetted is the act of becoming a veteran. For example, during the iraq war, soldiers are called as such. Soldiers, airmen, SEALs, pilots. Once they finish the war, they are no longer called regular soldiers, pilots, etc. They have become veterans of the war. Hence the term, "vetted"

I'm a jackass, CP please tell me what vetted means?
Vetted means you will be checked out to make sure you are not a casino spy.

That is always a danger with new posters.

No charge for that:)

The worst is that you will have to submit a document or 2 and then be interrogated by one of the MMOA:yikes:

I am interested in going and learning more about card counting, even though I am fairly new to it and this board. I would probably only be able to go on a weekend.

Also, im curious how old a lot of the people are that go to this. Im a college student, but it seems like alot of you are as old as my dad. (Not that it is bad because you learn from experienced people.) But are there many college aged AP's at the BJ bash?

The age is all over the map. So far 19 to 60. The thing is not age but maturity, respect of others. Yes, lots of college guys, lots of Caucasian, lots of Asian, some Native, some Hispanic, Christians and Jews and Agnostics. Still looking for our first Black and Women AP. There is even a UFC fighter that attends.

Ok, that's cool. Is there seriously a protocol for this?
