I've always been extremely bad at remembering when things happened, and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one!
That episode of (Dead link: http://www.fancast.com/tv/The-Flash/89567/full-episodes) _The Flash_, called Watching the Detectives, aired two decades ago, on 10/18/90.

hmmm, I missed THAT episode! Actually, I think you made the whole thing up and you are trying to propagate untruths, misleading info, and even implying Spock cheats!! Obviously you should be banned! I did one time see Rodney Dangerfield playing craps at Caesars and when the dice was shoved at him everybody at the table was yellin, 'go Rodney, we will give ya respect!'
How do you know what Spock did on his time off. And you talk like Star Trek was just a TV show! You don't believe, do you??? And Spock was not cheating, just using part of his God-given senses (fiber optics), to play blackjack--no different than YOU using your own two eyes! And, yes, that is a hilarious story about da man! Respect is what it's all about!!! Go, Rodney, GO!:laugh:

Any casino would ban Spock on site for using his brain. Of course he could retaliate by using that Vulcan grip (I shamefully forgot what it is called) to render the pit boss unconscious and then using his mind-meld to change the pit critters' thought processes.

You mean the FSNP, or Famous Spock Nerve Pinch! Spock generally plays in disguise, using clip-ons to hide his Vulcan ears. He would never use a mind-meld for such a trivial purpose as you suggest. Recently he traveled from Hongkong in disguise but was somehow detected by Canadian authorities. Of course, what investigators did not realize was that the young boy beneath the old man disguise was itself a disguise which would have revealed Spock himself had they realized and taken it a step further. Clever, these Vulcans!

You mean like the parallel universe Spock with a beard? Clever camo, but he definitely would have taken advantage of the situation. Might even use his phaser to kill pit critters. If it were a trivial matter he wouldn't even play in the first place. It would be illogical to play the game and not take the casino for as much money as he could, using any and every measure at his disposal.

Mind melds can be dangerous and potentially lethal. And using phasers to kill pit critters? I certainly would stop short of risking bodily harm to dealers and pit critters, as much as I would enjoy robbing the casinos blind. I simply cannot see Spock resorting to such violent measures, especially when his 10-level count and hole-carding ability already give him, conservatively, a 35% edge over the house. Sorry, but you make Spock seem like a thug. He is a superior being, but there is nothing thuggish about him.

You obviously never saw the parallel universe episode then.

Ok, this is for all the ignorant and unenlightened out there. ;) In the parallel universe episode, Spock has a beard and isn't a very nice guy. He tortures shipmates who get out of line or simply make mistakes. He's looking for an opportunity to take the captaincy away from Captain Kirk, who became Captain himself by murdering the previous captain. He's logical, but uses his logic in devious ways and only to promote his own selfish agenda. This Spock would use his powers to crush a casino any way he could, even if he had to murder casino employees to do so.

ok, but this is not the original Spock but an alternate universe Spock. And even if he has cameras in his finger tips, if the Casino said it was cheating Spock wouldn't do it. WHEW..... now I am back to my 'center'.

Irrelevant. Since Spock is wearing a beard for Camo we have to assume this is the parallel universe Spock. ;)

It would be illogical for Spock to play a game of chance, but since we already have him at the tables playing, it would be illogical for him not to play to win using any and every means at his disposal.

Spock is logical, but certainly not perfect! He's usurped power to take over the ship on more than one occasion. He violated Starfleet Commands rules of conduct and clearly cheated to satisfy his own emotional well being.

No, but he did try to kill Captain Kirk (and thought he had succeeded) over a girl in one episode. And he did ignore Captain Kirks orders because of a girl in another episode, so Spock messing around with call girls would not be out of the question so long as he had a logical reason for doing so.

Well, would killing Kirk over a girl be logical!!?? NO! So now my attitude about Spock is that he is just a gamblin,self-centered, messin around no good Vulcan!!!! Thank you 21gunsalute!!!! Your job is complete!!!

It's logical in that William Shatner could apparently be a real asshole on the set, over acting and stealing almost every scene.

ok, ok, let's see if I got this straight. Spock tries to kill Kirk over a girl because Shatner steals scenes from Nimoy. hmmm, ok... time to go to the casino I believe!

Actually, I do recall an episode like that, but I don't have very good recall when it comes to movies and TV-type stuff. I can't remember movie plots the next week, yet alone, thirty years ago. Besides, I was only 9 in 1980. :p Looking backwards, I think Noxin was President.
