if I gambled...

If I were a Gambling Man, I would take the odds that Sonny has a huge library of "progression" replies that he just cuts and pastes! :laugh::whip::grin:

I use macros:

F1 = Read the stickies.
F2 = That doesn't change the house edge.
F3 = Read the stickies.
F4 = It won't work.
F5 = That's the Gambler's Fallacy.
F6 = I don't need to simulate your system to see the mistakes.
F7 = Playing 500 hands on a computer game is not a simulation.
F8 = Read the stickies.
F9 = Why do I have to prove that your system doesn't work?
F10 = Select one of the above at random.
F11 = All of the above.
F12 = You are hereby banned.

If you read through the stickies then you will see that this system is no different than any other progression system. You don't need to run any numbers to see where it fails. It is based on the Gambler's Fallacy. No matter what kind of system you build on top of that fallacy, it will always fail. The sticky thread titled "The Gambler's Fallacy" explains is all in painstaking detail.

I did. I told you where to find the answers, explained to you how to analyze the system and told you what the results will be. What more do you want? If you're truly interested in learning how to play then you will find the answers in the places I have shown you. You will learn a lot more by finding the answers than by having them given to you.

I get it. You can't explain it either.

The stickes are there because I've had to explain it far too many times. Either read them or don't. I've told you exactly how to solve the problem. Either do it or don't. You can either learn how to play or not. If you aren't willing to learn how to play or have a productive conversation then you aren't going to last long on this website. The choices are yours.

If this site is so concerned about people not playing the game right, why not just shut down the entire voodoo section and be done with it?

Psyduck--I believe shadroch answered this question best when he said this:

"I may be mistaken, but the Voodoo section doesn't exist because Ken and the moderators want people coming here to thrill us with their nonsensical bullshit. It exists so they can weed out the garbage and deposit it somewhere."

Where do you progression guys keep coming from???
The moon of a distant star, Progressio, beyond Vega, in a far off galaxy, millions of light year away--a primitive life form, whose planet was sucked into a dark wormhole which jettisoned them to the Earth. It's all NASA's fault. Stop the funding pending further investigation! Meanwhile Captain Kirk and Spock are desperately trying to teach them counting skills to enable them to adapt to Earth shock. :cool:

I would like to politely correct your mistakes. First, planets have moons.
Second, Spock did not play BJ. He played 3d chess. And, is Progressio the moon or the star? And why does everybody blame NASA for everything? Please don't request removal of funds from NASA.:cry:

Well, I put the bit about defunding Nasa in there because the government is always talking about defunding them, but I agree with you, it's a stupid move if gov't ever does so--the race to the moon was a real stimulus to this country and we developed plenty of new technology during our race to explore space.

Progressio, the star. I took the liberty to name it myself, after the progressive movement of which I am so fond.:rolleyes:

Secretly, Spock played blackjack, in a perfect replica of the Bellagio High Limit room created on the holodeck. Marilyn Monroe was his dealer, and Rodney Dangerfield, his pit boss, as he defied the simulated eye in the sky to catch him in the act, as he plied his 10-level counting system, taught him by his father in a mind meld before he left home. Reportedly, he amassed a veritable fortune in holobucks. Unfortunately, they were not spendable anywhere except on the holodeck.

PS--he could also hole-card through tiny light sensitive fibers in his finger tips that relayed "filmed" information through his neural network to his Vulcan brain giving him an added advantage over his counting advantage of near 35%. I have heard stories he could play blackjack at a rate of 150 hands an hour, keeping perfect count with his 10-level system, and play three games of 3D-chess and a dozen hands of online poker, all simultaneously, moving from one game to the other in rapid succession. Awesome!!! :eek:

You are saying that Spock would cheat? Kirk would cheat, but not Spock. zg

There was a TV show - The Flash - a few years ago, where he broke the casino by simul-
taneously playing and winning all games on behalf of the customers in a split second. zg

hmmm, I missed THAT episode! Actually, I think you made the whole thing up and you are trying to propagate untruths, misleading info, and even implying Spock cheats!! Obviously you should be banned!:laugh: I did one time see Rodney Dangerfield playing craps at Caesars and when the dice was shoved at him everybody at the table was yellin, 'go Rodney, we will give ya respect!'

I've always been extremely bad at remembering when things happened, and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one! :laugh:
That episode of (Dead link: http://www.fancast.com/tv/The-Flash/89567/full-episodes) _The Flash_, called Watching the Detectives, aired two decades ago, on 10/18/90.
