Ok gang. This will be my final post on this site. I offer you the explanation of my recent actions. It may seem weak to you and probably will not suffice, but I offer no apology. I was trying to protect myself and my assets.
For several years I have shared my experiences through different stages of my career. I felt some responsibility to give back a little to the site and especially newer players as I had benefited so greatly and learned so much from being a member of this site. I also enjoyed the ability to share experiences and talk blackjack with other like minded individuals. Something that I don't have in my personal life as most of my friends do not know a double down from a double in baseball. As a result of being stupid and naive and just careless over the years I exposed too much personal information about myself. People had warned me about this, but by the time it had set in the damage was done.
This year incidents really began to occur with greater frequency. I have been called by name a half dozen times in the casino by both casino personnel and strangers. And the times it was casino personel, I was playing unrated. I have been backed off by a pit worker in a bar a mile away from any casinos. (this may or may not have been just a coincidence) I have been approached and called by name 3 different times outside or near my residence by people I don't know or recognize. And I have been robbed at gun point a block from my home 8 weeks ago. The early moments of this robbery I thought may have just been coincidence as well as people are robbed in LV all too regularly. It wasn't until after I had surrendered my phony wallet with about a hundred bucks, when I was told he wanted my bankroll not my wallet that I knew it wasn't a coincidence. It was yet another in a series of escalating incidences resulting from my own careless and stupid behavior.
I knew then that just cutting back on my posting and details as I had actually been doing for several months would not be enough. While recovering from my recent surgery I came up with this plan. Yes I did have surgery to replace heart valves that were damaged not by typical heart disease but rather by an unusual infection (that is for ZG who seems unusually interested in details) I asked desertwolf to help me. Desertwolf is not my lover, nor my alter ego, but just a retired friend on social security who earlier this year moved here from Philadelphia at my encouragement. A good friend who participated in a plan that he did not think much of. Turns out that attempting to help me as I requested damaged him a great deal as detective CP managed to dig up his real name and post it online. For that I am truly sorry for having involved you desertwolf.
So I had my reasons for this action. You may or may not find this explanation suitable, but I suspect you will at least understand the reasoning, if not agree with it. You may also choose to believe anything you like about me. People seem to want to now say that everything I ever said or posted was made up. Quite the contrary is true and therein lies the problem that led to this situation. I was careless and posted too much. So maybe that can be a parting lesson for everyone, based on not only these incidents that happened to me because of my recklessness, but also the aftermath where information on desertwolf was exposed. Be careful about your online experience. Everything is not as anonymous as portrayed.
Sincerely
KJ
ps not important but just to set the record straight.
21Forme: Stop telling people I live in a 30 thousand dollar condo. For god sakes, I don't live in the slums. What I said was that I paid less than 30% of the value of the place when it was new in 2006. The original price was over 300K. Do the math.
ZG: you asked 3 times why (I had) desertwolf post the last name “dunn” which is not my last name. (I am not quite that stupid). I did so because I knew it would lead to the facebook page that I hoped would add credibility to this plan and be able to end this nightmare once and for all.
And most of all to BjayCobb: I deeply regret how my actions affected you the most. You are the nicest man that I have never met. And you proved that again throughout this ordeal with your concern.
