I was just wondering if any of you take advantage of casino coupons that might give you $5-10 match play. Or they will give you your first card is an ace promotions. I have even gotten cash in the mail. It was a coupon redemable for $40 cash at the casino, no play required. I have also got coupons for some free chips if I play so much. I have gotten drawing for some free slot play as well. I have 14 casino cards with an average of about $40 in comps on each card. I consider my self to be a low roller I only buy in for a couple hundred dollars at a time play anywhere from the table minimum of $5 to $50 a hand. Earning comps and getting free coupons pays of for me even though I gamble for relatively low stakes.

i have a card that has given me over $50 in redeemable cash (in 3 months), with relatively little rated play. that one motivates me enough to go back over and over to that casino. just wish the others i have cards for would get on the ball!!!

A local joint (Barona) has official tiers of Players cards. Paper, Gold, Platinum, Diamond.

Paper-level members get a mailer with a cash ticket worth $5 each week (not match play, not slot play, just cash). I got bumped up to Gold recently, and it was $10 a week.

Last weekend I was sitting at a slightly-more-expensive doubledeck table, and a guy sits down and offers the dealer his Diamond card and a coupon. It looked just like mine, but it was worth $125. I asked him if he got one of those per week. He did. I asked him if it took a lot a play to qualify for that. He nodded.

So you can just redeem your Bonus Cash coupons for straight cash? I got one for $45 a few weeks ago and a few $5 ones this week. Maybe I'll have to make a trip down there before they expire. Can you cash in a few coupons at the same time or is there a per-day limit?

go to the cage, they give you cash, go to the table they give you "real" chips.
i don't think there is a limit. they don't ask for a card or ID upon cashing them. go wild!

the coupons don't say there is a limit. if you were worried, then make 1 trip to each cage with one coupon. or cash them in at different tables in different pits. just check the expiration dates, the ones i get are only good for something like 7-10 days.

Good heavens! I am going to go to barona tonight and sign up for a card! I have seen those $5 coupons cashed almost everytime I was there, but heck, some are $125?

Live and learn. Thanks guys for all of the great info sharing and keep it coming!

Specifically the boats near Cinci, and Casino Windsor--they will also send you coupons for cheaper or even free hotel rooms with cash coupons.

Take advantage & good luck

i'm the lowest of rolers and they sent me 2 X $10 coupons, plus several $5 coupons. i should use my card more. initially they were sending me them for slot play - beacuse they had a $100 slot rebate where if you lost 100 they matched it, if you won $100 they matched it. some restrictions apply :p

Sonny, a $45 coupon? Jesus. Think it because the computer flagged you playing the $50 slot machine?
Yeah, probably. They send me $65 worth of cashable coupons but I still can't get a meal comp from them. Oh well. I'll take the cash at least.

casinos sometimes work in strange ways

There is a casino where I probably play 95% blackjack and 5% VP. They used to mail me match play coupons for table games but this year they have sent me $100 free play for machines and it is doubled on certain days. So I just went on a double day, put my $200 into a VP Super Times play machine, hit it for a $1,400 win and then spent the 95% of my remaining time there playing blackjack.
I think they are trying to ween me into becoming a machine player but I guess these offers will dry up unless I start throwing some of my own money into the machines.

I got one place where apparently I get a mailer that is the opposite of what most of the players get.

I get a single slot play coupon good for the entire month, and then four weekly match play coupons for the tables. (They're not good on weekends, which is a huge bummer).

However, it seems that most people get one match play coupon per month, and then maybe a bunch of slot play coupons, or something. Because whenever I present a match play, the dealers are always surprised that it has a short expiration date.

This would imply that this particular casino provides more table coupons for table players.

Mass mailings might not discriminate.

I have gotten coupons from a Casino to play blackjack at a Casino that has barred me for life from playing there. It was a coupon to have my first card be an ace with a max bet of $10. If they had discriminated from a person being a card counting or just a regular player I would have never gotten that.
I also have gotten free mystery cash from them where I will win a minimum of $5 all the way up to $1,000!
At the Biltmore where I play only a tiny bit of slots I got a coupon for a free slot play on wednesdays for a whole month. I put a little bit of money but so little with the coupons I was guranteed to win. Getting the free slot play is sweet because my job puts me right there and I don't have to do any extra driving!

Interesting legal concept

If you've been told to leave the property at one point of time then, later you are invited back-IN WRITING- they have therefore rescinded your previous status, assuming that the former were a backoff from the entire property and not just limited to BJ. I would make a copy of the coupon before cashing it in, just for proof and then go nuts!

Friend wanted to go to a local place because they advertise "cash back on points". We went on a Friday .... offer is only good Mon to Tues.

I'm about as low a roller as can be, but still got two buffets ($18.99 each) for play of about 25 hours over 3 months.

They send my wife $5-$10 slot play every couple of months, and a bonus $10 on her b-day month. I get none of that for playing BJ and she seems to get get better comp value. That reminds me ... she owes me a buffet.

My ban only applies to blackjack!

I sometimes go there to play a little poker as well and can still do that. They only asked me not to play blackjack at there property. It might be that 2 pit boss know me there and they believe that I have too great of a chance to win when playing there. I still go in there because I have a whole lot of comps that I haven't used yet. I have about a $100 in comps from there to get free meals! I tried to use them for gas but they will not let me do that. They will comp gas but only for slot play and I only have 8 points for slot play. The irony is I have lost less money on table games than on the slots but I only have a few pennies worth of comps on the slots.

Was this backoff from Reno or Tahoe?
