It's not bad, but it is one of the worst performing systems. It is really close to other systems such as Red7 and HiLo, but it is slightly worse assuming all systems are played perfectly.

Here's a suggestion for advanced counts. The system I use is RPC for 4-8 deck, and UBZ for 1-2 deck. Counting the two systems differs only in how you weight the Ace; it's -1 in UBZ and -2 in RPC. True count adjustment can be onerous in 1-2 deck games and doesn't help you that much so the unbalanced system is useful, and the Zen ace gives you a significant boost in these low-spread games where you rely on finesse rather than brute force. For shoe games you want brute force, and the beaucoup betting correlation of RPC is a good thing. One nice benefit of using RPC is it makes it easy to switch to UBZ, and vice versa. But you really don't need higher level counts to play a winning game.

KO is an excellent count. It performs slightly better than Red7 in shoes except for poor penetration games. It is also easier than Red7 or KISS III.

BNOC848, the best performing count you could use is not always the best one. The best one is the one you can master and use confidently and correctly in a casino. My suggestion is to try different counting systems and settle on the one you are most comfortable with. Most counting systems are close in performance anyways and if you make less errors with a simple system that will make up for the difference. It will cost you more in the short run to purchase these systems to try out, but in the long run it will be worth it! Get some software which will speed up your practising.
 
does the KISS III count change its rules for different amount of decks, like KO it changed rules for 1-2, 6 and 8 decks. even if kiss III dosent change its rules is it still as effective?

It's an unbalanced system so I'm assuming it has to use different IRC (Initial running count) for different number of decks.
 
You should read a book, you have a lot of questions which would easily be answered in one. Buy a book for KO or Hi-lo and leave it at that.
