I saw an episode of "Only in America" last night with Larry the Cable Guy where he visits the Eye in the Sky room of a casino in Las Vegas. Throughout the segment "Card counters" and "post betters" are mentioned in basically the breath as cheaters, scumbags and those to be caught. OF course...

Ploppy-like excitement is good cover in itself, imo.

I have to agree to a certain extent. All it does is make you associate values with the cards at a glance. During real play you should be cancelling out groupings of cards, only having a need to count the "left overs."

Sounds like a normal game. Not checking for BJ prior to Players playing their hands and then the player not losing double downs or splits on a dealer BJ is the same game.

I'd be the a-hole of the table. I'd either point to the dealer and say that's what he/she gets paid for. Or nicely say, for a 25% commission that I'd be glad to do it. I don't care too much if other players at the table think I'm an a-hole. The fewer players at my table means the happier I...

The above kind of wisdom can only be obtained naturally by spending many hours in the casino. And it is probably difficult to do naturally without having spent many hours in the casino as a ploppy yourself. It's one of my greatest "covers." Years ago I was a ploppy. Then I had about 6 years not...
